Scenery Error

Featured Replies

Hi all...Can you help? On starting FS I get the following error:"Scenery.cfg File Error! Local scenery directory (SCENDBWESTHEMSAMESSCENERY) in scenery AREA.043 Not Found.Click OK to continue"Is this fixable, if so how or is it a re-install?CheersDave

Dave,Unless that's a typo:>Hi all...Can you help? On starting FS I get the following >error: >"Scenery.cfg File Error! Local scenery directory >(SCENDBWESTHEMSAMESSCENERY) in scenery AREA.043 Not >Found. That should be SCENEDBWESTHEMSAMESSCENERYNote the missing "E" in your line.

Hi Scott, Yeh a typo. Any solution?

Dave,Firstly, check your scenery.cfg file and make sure you have a sequential order of the scenry directories. That's just to be sure. Then check the SCENEDBWESTHEMSAMESSCENERY directory and make sure there are actually files in it. If not, you may have initially set FS up to read the CD and that cache link is missing. If nothing else, go into FS2K2 and delete the Southern South America scenery region and re-add it. Once it finds the BGL files, it should be okay. You've probably done all this already, but the only reason that error should come up is because there is no actual path found as the error says.

Doh! Couldn't see the wood for the trees! It was just to simple! All sorted now....Thanks!CheersDave
