October 10, 200223 yr Hello, I am not familiar as to how a Callout Gauge works. Does the gauge display an altitude and trigger a WAV file to yell out the present altitude? Where do the WAV files come from? Are they part of the Callout Gauge software package? I sure would welcome and appreciate any information. Thanks
October 12, 200223 yr Thanks to everyone who responded. For those who might think altitude callouts are silly and primitive may I suggest you look into the PS1 747-400 Glass Cockpit Trainer. Now that is true simulation.Again thanks.
October 12, 200223 yr It's not silly at all, Blais. Keep in mind that RC is an Air Traffic Control simulator and not a cockpit/airplane simulator. ;-0Rob

http://avsim.com/flightdeck/images/Radar_small.gifBeta tester for http://www.jdtllc.com' target="_blank">Radar Contact] the premier ATC adventure add-on for FS
October 12, 200223 yr Hello Rob, I don't understand how you can accept the fact that RC, a very decent ATC program, can place a CoPilot in your aircraft and yet that CoPilot cannot do altitude callouts because ATC is not a cockpit/aircraft simulator. Is it a function of ATC to place a CoPilot in an aircraft? Of course not. Arguements such as you are making are not really logical Rob.Have a good long weekend.
October 12, 200223 yr Blais,Not every aircraft has a CP or callouts. With all the features RC has to offer, it is extremely strange that this is something you concentrate on. Any commentary on the actual ATC part of RC?It sounds as if you are trying to find any little thing to hate RC, and have only found that one item. Maybe some day Robert McKay and Marty Arant will get to work on ProFlight2012, so you'll be happy. From this I can only conclude you're going to hate V3. It has 21 times the features of V2, but alas no callouts. I wouldn't get it if I were you. This is my last comment on all this. I have better things to do.
