December 3, 200223 yr John,I have to tell you I hesitated to upgrade to RC3 because I grew tired of 2.2 relatively quickly. I remember the early days (version 1?)when the vectoring rarely worked quite right yet you kept plugging away until it did. Still, the menus and keys were cumbersome and it never seemed quite flexible enough.Well, RC3 is a different beast altogether! I can sure see why it isn't a download anymore. Huge! And my first flight was flawless, fun, and realistic. And, no, I didn't do the tutorials or read the manual and yet I found it so intuitive that I had no problem. Even changed my destination enroute just for fun. Very cool! I even had some concerns about the registration process but I had the key in my inbox almost as quick as I could open Outlook. Outstanding product, excellent beta testing, and great customer service! This one is a keeper! ThanksDavid
December 3, 200223 yr Have you played around with the Save/Load feature yet Dave? It's sweet! Use your imagination, saving in 'choice' spots.
December 3, 200223 yr Dave,Another thing that's been radically changed is Otto. Don't rely on her too much. Not because she's bad - because she's so good now that you forget to fly the thing yourself! I got way out of practice with those 14-hour flights across the Pacific (heck, even the 4-hour ones across the country). I have to remember to give her a break! ;-)
