December 5, 200223 yr Hello,I am still waiting for my CD to arrive. I ordered RC3 Monday evening so I hope it comes very soon. While I am waiting for my CD to arrive, I came up with 2 questions that I want to ask.1) I want to know if there is any web site that I can view real flight plans that real pilots make so I can create a flight plan using the same waypoints as real pilots do?2) Another thing is, in real life I fly to Boston, MA (that's where I live) so if we are to land on runway 4R, we always fly over north of Boston out to the sea and then downwind then base then on final approach. Is that possible that I can fly like that using RC3?Thanks very much!!Brian
December 6, 200223 yr Hi Brian,I don't know a web site for real flight plans, but being a controller I can tell you pilots file these days whatever they want. With the advent of the National Route Program, they pretty much file direct or wind routes, whichever they determine saves them a nickle. Only requirement is they must join a Preferred Arrival Route into the major airports when they get within 200 miles. At that point they usually join a STAR.As for your question aboout flying around Boston, RC is very flexible, and with the right options checked will allow you to do whatever you want, including holding or practice approaches.Larryhttp://www.jdtllc.com/images/RCbeta.jpg

With my AIRAC cycles always showong no way to go South to say, New Orleans from Denver, I have to jump airways a few times or ignore tham altogether.
