December 8, 200223 yr Just got it today and still getting used to it. Like my subject line says, I hear both, the FSATC and RC3 through comm 1 at the same time.I am I doing something wrong? Sorry if this has already been answered. Thanks in advance,Tony
December 8, 200223 yr Tony,Set Com 2 as active to hear FSATC on Com 2. To do away with FSATC sound altogether, set ATC in Settings/Sound to 0.
December 8, 200223 yr Scott, thanks for your fast response. But still no go.It seems that I only hear the FSATC coming through when listening to ATIS and in my initial call to clearance delivery, after that everything goes to where it should be...RC3 on Comm1 and FSATC on Comm2.But...when I hear the ATIS transmission and RC3 ATIS coming through together on Comm1, and I switch off Comm1 and turn on Comm2 I still hear the RC3 ATIS and NO FS ATIS!For more info... Using the FS2K2 flight planner on a fight from KTMB to KEYW using the default C172, all RC3 settings at default values.I don't want to switch off the sound of FSATC, if possible. Thanks,Tony
December 8, 200223 yr Tony,>It seems that I only hear the FSATC coming through when >listening to ATIS and in my initial call to clearance >delivery, after that everything goes to where it should >be...RC3 on Comm1 and FSATC on Comm2. >>But... >>when I hear the ATIS transmission and RC3 ATIS coming >through together on Comm1, and I switch off Comm1 and turn >on Comm2 I still hear the RC3 ATIS and NO FS ATIS!That's exactly correct. You should not have Comm 1 on. RC doesn't care if the comms are on or not, only FSATC cares. RC will always play, and set the frequency on Comm 1. That's why you want to have the active as Comm 2 and not have "both" on, so FSATC plays on Comm 2.>I don't want to switch off the sound of FSATC, if possible.Using the above, you will still hear FSATC, and you can use the FSATC window to auto-tune to whatever area you are in.This is all in the manual.
