Greetings, I was wondering how RC V3 handles arrivals if you request a non-ILS equipped runway. Flew KLGA-KROA today. Arrival told me to expect vectors for Rwy 33, but I requested Rwy 24 since this was closer to the wind direction, Rwy 24 has no ILS. After selecting the runway arrival told me to expect vectors for 24 and fly heading 060...fine. Well, after flying for a while I heard nothing more from ATC and flew past the airport, at about 30mi out I decided not to chance it and just request a visual app. My question is if you request a non-ILS rwy must you ask for a visual approach or will arrival vector you to the final? I also noticed that after requesting the non-ILS Rwy I heard no more chatter until after I landed. Thanks. RPM.

Fly it again when you've time. This should've been no problem whatsoever to RC. The only difference between being v'd for an ILS vs non-ILS is, with non-ILS you'd hear "...final approach course...", instead of "...loaclizer...".No, being allowed to fly into never-never-land shouldn't happen, ever. Again, refly. This time be sure to use the Save/Load function. From the sounds of this flight, I'd Save immediately after Apch tells you what rwy to "expect", before you requested rwy 24.
