December 10, 200223 yr Hello, I am interested in Radar Contact 3 and have a question regarding the AI traffic in FS2002 with RC3. Does RC3 take control of the AI traffic? I ask this because it was very unrealistic using the FS2002 ATC when AI traffic cut me off on ILS approaches or when I had numerous near misses at the busier airports. It seems the default 2002 ATC couldn't handle too many aircraft and quite often there were aircraft practically flying on top of each other on ILS approaches (especially at KORD). I could rarely get missed approach vectors to work too. Does RC3 prevent the above from happening? Robert Williamson
December 10, 200223 yr Robert,As has been said many times, RC cannot control AI traffic. Until MS decides to release an AI/ATC SDK it's not possible. The best one can do is to use Comm 2 to monitor FSATC to see what's in the pattern and on the runway, then adjust your approach and speed accordingly.Everything about AI is in the RC mnaual.MS needs a complete fix of AI handling, and yes, it can be a bit tricky at times.
