December 26, 200223 yr Dear Scott Campbell,I wonder when your new ACLoader 4.0 will be ready. I just had a look about it at your WebSite and was very pleased what all will be changed and be better then the latest version now.More so I wonder if you will include the oportunity to place PAX on two, three and fore or five rows of seats. In the current version all Pax are located in one row, no Z-axe variation.Well, I realy love your ACLoader a lot. It is better then about all other loader which comes with some of the payware aircrafts.CiaoTorben. Regards, Torben Hadler
December 26, 200223 yr Torben,Late February at the earliest, but don't quote me.The reason I don't split passengers into rows is because there's no reason to. The amount of difference in a 12' 747 cabin is so negligible as to make no difference. Besides, I'd also have to array rows as well as isles and it would take a lot of needless processing.V4 is taking a lot longer than I had thought it would. I am completely re-writing the loadout routines. It should place galleys and people and cargo and baggage correctly when I'm done.GA processing is also taking forever. Then I have to test with a myriad of aircraft, and include all the ones that have been requested, which is also taking forever to get all the info. Then I have to make a better costing model structure. It'll be a while. I've been very distracted this year.
December 27, 200223 yr Author Hi Scott, well, I thank your a lot for the info. I know you doing it just for fun and as a side hobby programming what we all need and love. If you have had the time, you could or should do it not as freeware but as payware. But that would put a lot different pressure uppon you.So, we know now that it'll take up to februar/march. Just a thought: Why not splitting the program in two? One for airliner jets and one for GAs. The most payware GAs have good loader and so you spent realy a lot time programming and editing the GA part. But there are so many more jets...Wish you all the best, supporting RC2-3 and ACLoader. And have fun doing your ART work in the rest of your life.CiaoTorben Regards, Torben Hadler
December 27, 200223 yr Torben,I did try to negotiate with a couple companies to sell ACLoader, but they wanted to change it to what they wanted, not what I wanted. So I dropped that idea. Unless I market and sell for myself, someone always wants to change my baby. Not going to happen. So it'll stay free.
