How to taxi to unfamiliar runways or gates ?

Featured Replies

Hi, I am from Tokyo Japan, struggling with RCv3 everyday with my poorEnglish ability. First of all I'd like to know how to get to the instructed runways or gates without like the red path given by FS2002? I just started learning English very hard to get to understand whatATC says and also understand huge manuals. I hope this question makesense to you.

Hi,There is no facity in RC to do this-the gates used in RC are not relevent to the airfield. You can however us FSNav and identify gates that FS2002 knows about that way and put the information onnthe RC controllers screen and running FS2002 alongside RC you can then use the ATC in FS to progressive taxi. The way I prefer is to identify the gates is FSNAV,print out the airport as a map,and enter the gate details in RC controller screen. You then taxi using the FSNAV airport chart.Hope this helpsAshleyUse

Thank you Mr.Ashley Sear for your quick reply.I think I can manage to follow your advice. But I understand what you advised me is something to do with "Making use of FS2002 ATC for yourChatter" by Scott Campbell which is in the on line manual.I can't completely understand the manual due to my English ability but I will try hard, thank you very much.

Page 115 of the RC manual ;)"HELPFUL HINT- Use the FS Shift )(square bracket) command to open a top-down window to see where you're at on the airport ramp or when taxiing".
