January 15, 200323 yr Hi friends.Yesterday LEMD approach gave me 109.90 for Rwy 36R at LEMD.After that obviously missed my approach and requested vectors for second attempt; later checked FSNav map and discovered that correct ILS freq for Rwy 36R at LEMD is 110.30 Mhz.Needless to say second attempt went just fine and landed at LEMD (Madrid Barajas 2002 D. Jimenez). How can this happen? Can i somehow edit nav frequencies in RCv3?Thanks for helpingLuigi ;-)
January 15, 200323 yr Hi, Luigi,I just checked the relevant file and there is a discrepancy from what you see in FSNAV. Two of the ILS frequencies have been transposed. Go to your RCv3 folder and open the file r.txt in something like Notepad. Scroll down until you find these lines:LEMD,13451,197,15,142,0LEMD,12139,148,18L,179,109.3LEMD,14272,197,18R,179,110.7LEMD,13451,197,33,322,110.3LEMD,14272,197,36L,359,0LEMD,12139,148,36R,359,109.9The first field is the ICAO, the second the runway length, the third is the runway width, the fourth is the runway ID, the fifth is the actual heading and the sixth is the ILS frequency. If the sixth field is '0', that just means there is no ILS on that runway. Now, just change the fourth and sixth lines so that they read:LEMD,13451,197,15,142,0LEMD,12139,148,18L,179,109.3LEMD,14272,197,18R,179,110.7LEMD,13451,197,33,322,109.90LEMD,14272,197,36L,359,0LEMD,12139,148,36R,359,110.30This will now correspond to what FSNAV says they should be. Of course, FSNAV might be wrong...Keith....Wherever you go, there you are...
January 15, 200323 yr Keith, thanks a lot for posting.I'll correct those values as per your suggestion (now that i know how to do it) ;-)> Of course, FSNAV might be wrong......but with NAV1 set on 110.300 i could safely land at LEMD; doesn't this mean FSNav and FS2002 match their frequencies?cheersLuigi ;-)
