Tilting bogies

Featured Replies

Why? :-hmmmJust curious. Not all of them 'tilt'.

Back in the old days of the FS2000 forum, one guy posted a Q. about the same thing, but called them "tilting BOOGIES".I confess to ribbing the guy a little, singing "Yessir, I can Boogie, get on down" etc.To answer your Q, I guess it's down to wether the designer of the plane has the necessary software for moving parts.Schofi

In Reality ... they tilt so that they can fit within the space required to retract them ...As far as being modelled in sims, it is a fair bit of work for little? reward, during takeoffs you are generally a little too busy to watch the gear come up :-lolRay
