February 17, 200323 yr Hope this is of help/use-but no support or flames please. If you don't understand it-don't try it!I am a RC team member but point out that this is not endorsed/approved by either of the companies involved.RC and the meridian panel do not work perfectly together, but here is a 'quick fix'I accept no responsibility for any real or consequential loss caused by following theses instructions. As always happens when a non-standard autopilot is used with Radar Contact-the Piper Meridian does not operate properly with RC flying the aircraft, although functions perfectly when operated by the pilot. This change is not endorsed by Flight1 or JDLLC(Radar Contact) and is used at your own risk. Here is my fix, there are a couple of versions: 1.Retains much of Meridian functionality.(assumes you have Golden Eagle) a)BACK UP the Meridian Panel.cfgb)Open Panel.cfg with wordpad/notepadc)Change all occurances of FLT1PIPERM!ST55XToC421NJ1!APA d)SAVE Panel.cfg The main difference is a slightly different colour of the instrument and this instument takes the barometric pressure from the EADI,and standard FS mouse control. 2.Sacrifices some aesthetics and functinality for an expansion independent change) a)BACK UP the Meridian Panel.cfgb)Open Panel.cfg with wordpad/notepadc)Change all occurances of FLT1PIPERM!ST55XToBeech_Baron!Altitude Selector d)SAVE Panel.cfg The main difference is a slightly different colour of the instrument and this instument takes the barometric pressure from the EADI,and standard FS mouse control.s work and only Vertical speed and target altimeter are available.
