March 15, 200323 yr Just wondering if anyone else has run into this before. Last night I made a flight from LAX to KBGR in the Posky 767-200 ER, I just updated Active Sky to 1.6 and updated Lago's FS Maintenace and wanted to check every thing out. I had Active Sky, RC3, and FS Maint all up and running, I'm also using My Traffic, have the lattest FSUIPC installed and was flying a course generated by the FS2k2 flight planner. Everthing was going great, I was receiving vectors for traffic (AI and simmed), hitting all of my waypoints, requested and received a drop in cruise altitude from FL35 to FL33. The 767 was having difficulties maintaining FL35 with a full load (FS Maint was yelling at me for stressing the engines). I was getting the usual handoffs to the various centers all the way to Denver. I noticed as I was getting closer to KORD that I hadn't received a handoff in along time and started to pay attention. I was still getting vectors for traffic, dropped off freq for weather and returned, and was still being handled by Denver Center all the way to Vermont, where I was finally handed off to Boston control, after that everything was back to normal all the way to touch down at KBGR. Seems strange that Denver would have control across 3/4 of the country. The flight was fine, I just thought it strange.
March 16, 200323 yr The best I can offer is let us know if you can repeat it. There's no reason RC would skip 2 centers.
March 16, 200323 yr I'll try the flight again when I get a chance. Just finished a flight from KBGR to Heathrow, so it may be a day or two before I get up again (RC3 worked flawlessly this time, even got good handling during my declared inflight emergency brought on by FS Maint induced failures).
