option to restore manual acknowledgements?

Featured Replies

I'm using voice control with 'Play Pilot Wavs' and 'Pilot Autoreply' unticked to avoid unnecessary repetition of my messages but I find that manual acknowledgements which Game Commander replaces are also unavailable and Radar Contact steps on automatically.Would it be possible to add an option named perhaps 'Retain Manual Acknowledgements' or 'VRC Acknowledgements' to restore this?Communicating with Radar Contact through a microphone is another step towards realism and improves on what is already an outstanding program. ThanksFred

Fred,Pilot auto-reply is exactly what you describe. What's the exact problem?

Scott,With great respect, Pilot Autoreply is not exactly what I describe. Maybe you read voice.wavs when I mean real-time voice contol with Game Commander. The problem is when Pilot Autoreply is disabled, on the version I'm using (2178), RC immediately plays Controller Responses. No time is available for a pilot using real-time voice control to get a word in! My suggested modification is:When Pilot Wavs and Pilot Autoreply are disabled then the keys remain enabled for Voice Control to work. This would allow (all by real-time Voice Control):Pilot [my voice]:Calls Ground announcing "Ready for clearance etc".Ground:Gives clearance [and waits for response].Pilot [my voice]:Reads back clearance.Ground [after pilot's read back]:"Read back correct"and so on....Is this feasible?ThanksFred
