Autotune option. Where is it?

Featured Replies

Hi, maybe I'm just really stupid but I can't find that autotune option at all. Where do I find it?Thanks in advanceRegards,Martin

All planes, the ATC autotune option, know what I mean? So you don't need to manually switch com freqencies. And I want to turn autotune off.

There is no setting that will allow you to turn on or off the tuning function when operating under FS2002 ATC. However, if you want to simulate real life operations, you will need to enter the comm freq into the radio after acknowledging the handoff, but BEFORE contacting the new controller. FS2002 typically gives you the option to "tune XXX.XX", but just ignore this and manually switch the comms. Once you have entered the correct freq, that option in the ATC window will disappear.Hope that answers your question.Regards,http://home.earthlink.net/~snyders2000/name.jpg

Thanks a lot. Very confusing because the pdf manual says something of an autotune option which can be deactivated.

It still seems like we may we talking about different thing, so if we are, please let us know as much detail as possible and maybe we can help you out. :-)Regards,http://home.earthlink.net/~snyders2000/name.jpg

I think we are talking about the same thing. I know now with your help that I just have to enter the frequency before choosing an ATC option. The only strange thing is that the manual talks about an option to disable this autotuning. Thanks again

That is strange. I know that there was discussion in that past about this, but as I recall no such option exists. Therefore, many of us use that work around that I explained above. If you figure it out, please let us know.Regards,http://home.earthlink.net/~snyders2000/name.jpg
