September 8, 200421 yr Hey Guys. New to forums and posting, but need some help. Upgraded to RC31. Using HOTAS Cougar. For reasons I can't fathom, the sound from the controller(s) drops out. Didn't have this problem with previous versions. Sometimes happens with ground after clearance, sometimes much later. Even seen it come back! Happens whether I fly or "Betty". RC still runs and "thinks" its responding. I can tell this because 1) My menu choices change in ADV display and 2) if "Betty's" flying she responds immediately to what I perceive as dead silence. Thanks.
September 8, 200421 yr Did you download and install all additional voice files listed in our FAQ http://www.jdtllc.com/faqs.htm question 1?How many files do you have in each winwood folder 2-13?
September 10, 200421 yr Thanks for your response Rick. I did see a similar posting/response and started checking my files. #1-1,030 files#2-1,135#10-1,135#11-4#12-1#13-didn't exist.#3 through #9. Didn't check because I knew I had a problemI downloaded and installed 11,12, and 13.zip. Then I installed the full zip over those. I also checked the Readme file which mentioned the optional pilot chatter files 89 through 90. I have these folders but they are empty. I've searched the relevant sites but can't find the source.Anyway, now the file count is1-1030 files2 through 4-11355-11366 through 10-113511,12 & 13 - 1134Thanks for your help. I test it out. You guys have a great program.
September 10, 200421 yr Go back to the Flight Deck http://www.fsflightdeck.com/rcv3/ and scroll down until you see Optional Chatter Pilots. Voice sets 88-90 are right below Controller Files 11-13.Once you have those 3 voice sets installed your setup should work correctly.Glad to hear you found the problem!! Let us know if you have any more problems.
