Message window missing text

Featured Replies

I just completed loading RCv3 today. I've flown three successful flight plans and everything seems to be working except the message window is missing text. There are little squares where it seems there should be some of the text. I can make out the commands but the word wrap looks wrong as well. I've searched the posts and haven't been able to find any that address this.I loaded the upgrades as instructed by Rick's email except I didn't load FSUIPC because I own the latest version which is v3.6.Suggestions anyone?Fred Young

Fred,From your description, it sounds like you are using the built-in green "window" to display RC's text in Flight Sim. RC is designed to use ADVdisplay for this purpose which should have been installed to you Flight Simulator 9/modules folder (advdisplay.dll). It can be switched on from the FS 9 'Modules' menu and using it instead of the green window should give you the properly formatted RC text.Pete

Thank's Pete, you're right on. I figured it was probably simple. In haste to get up and running I skipped the AdvDisp download.I was thinking it was meant only for those who didn't have Fsuipc v3. I see they have nothing to do with each other.Fred
