Here is a bit of my homemade FS2002 FPS benchmark I am playing with:Been tweaking my new system ( and transfering all my addons/downloads ). Trying for better FPS I have gone thru setting by setting. I had good results when turning off terrain detail_textures in the FS2000 display tab. Here is my standard FPS test:( Most Settings = 100%/FullRight )1280x960x32 AA=2x28R KSFO, midday, clear, default 182 sitting on runwayw/engine off, VC zoom=.80ATC = 100%Display page 1:Texture Quality =MaxTerrain Mesh = 70Terrain Texture Size = HighAutogen Density = ExtremeScenery Complex = ExtremeDyanmic = offEffect Detail = HighMax Visability = 70 milesWater Effects = detail onlyCloud Density = 30Ground shadows = offDawn/Dust = onExtended terrain textures = onTERRAIN DETAIL_TEXTURES = OFFPage 2:Aircraft Texture = MassiveVC Gauge = HighReflections = offAircraft shadows = offlanding lights = onresize panel = onpage 3:Target FPS ( just set this high during testing ) = 50 FPSLights = 8T/L = offMip Map = OnAA ( off in FS2002 - on in GF4 - see below )Multi Texture = On ( do I need this if I am not using water reflections ? )Filtering = BiGF4-Ti4600 ( no overclocking )AntiA = 2x, Ansio = 16 tap, LOD = -1So - sitting on the runway:with TERRAIN DETAIL_TEXTURES = ON :10.0 fps = Straight ahead14.8 fps = look left ( keyboard 4 )20.0 fps = look right ( keyboard 6 )with TERRAIN DETAIL_TEXTURES = OFF15.0 fps = Straight ahead20.1 fps = look left30.0 fps = look rightNumbers vary when taking off and landing - butthey are not bad ~ 12-14 during takeoff/landings.I also did the above test during DUSK and the numbers drop by 2 or 3 FPS.My system:Athlon XP2000+ ( 1.67ghz )512MB PC2100 DDR266Asus AS7333 ( SiS745 chipset )Chaintech GF4-Ti4600 128 MB - Nvidia 27.30 driverson mother board sound40GB WD 7200 HDW98SE3DMark2002SE = 7665 ( not the best benchmore score )The above system cost me $1150I kept my old Dell 19' monitor.Myles

Thanks for the info!>Multi Texture = On ( do I need this if I am > not using water reflections ? ) I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it is necessary for aircraft reflections.
