March 20, 200620 yr It's happened to me a couple of times that I've turned on takeoff to follow the flight plan only to be called by ATC for being off course. I know now that I've missed a pevious point and must go back to have it credited. Is there any way to delete the previous waypoint from RC's plan so as not to do the 180 degree back-tracking?Thanks - Terry
March 20, 200620 yr There certainly is, Terry. We were discussing that very thing in the forum on Saturday. Here's the link: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=18494&page=BestPete
March 22, 200620 yr Terry,Here's a "quick fix" plan to continue your flight if you have missed a waypoint.1. You must fly within 2nm of each waypoint for the game to record it as having been reached. MAKE VERY SURE THAT THE FLIGHT PLAN FILED WITH RCV4 IS THE EXACT SAME PLAN YOU ARE FLYING. That said, if you should miss one...2. Request a "direct to" your next RCv4 waypoint as displayed on the Adventure Display Screen. This option will pop up after being handed off to Center.3. If you goof THAT up and don't want to start all over again, request a "Direct To" your Destination Airport. Use the Garmin GPS feature, enter the ICAO code after clicking the "Direct" button, and continue your flight.I've purposely missed a few waypoints just to see how to correct things en route.Captain Dad
