March 26, 200620 yr Today, I was flying from Mazatlan (MMMZ) to Mexico City (MMMX) with RC4 w/ActiveSky downloading real-time weather. As I approached Mexico City, skys were overcast with scattered clouds at 2500 with rain in the area. Initially, Approach assigned me 23L which has an ILS (Great, 'cuz I can't see a thing!) but then just as I am about turn turn downwind, I get assigned 23R. 23R doesn't have an instrument approach. Why would ATC/RC4 give me this runway?Bob
