    I can just say Thank You PMDG Team!! Installed P3D V2.5, Installed ORBX scenery, Installed Active Sky Next, Installed both 737 NGX Base & Expansion packages all on a 4 year old ASUS G73JW Series gaming laptop and really not a single hiccup and I'm running all of this on Windows 8.1 Pro. Did the tutorial flight from EGKK - EHAM twice with different weather conditions and what a thrill!! Frame rates not so bright 12-15fps but still flyable.

     

    So, I don't know if I am just lucky but this is really awesome. It can only get better!

    Morning gents I have been enjoying the NGX with very little problems since installation and it has been a pleasure flying it. This morning I noticed that the text for MINS, BARO, RADIO and VOR 1 OFF" on the Captains EFIS disappears when I open the HUD. I'm including a couple of screenshots for you to see. Has anyone elso noticed this? By the way I have all the necessary tweaks including HIGHMEMFIX. Have a great day!

    Hi Guys Thank you for all the responses. I found the solution on page 22 of the introduction document. I was too tired when I read it the first time so I forgot what to do Sleepy.gif So for the others that might read this here is the solution from the introduction document: • One shortcoming of all PMDG products for FSX is that ourproducts do not like to be “re-loaded.” This means that if youhave one variant of the airplane selected and running within thesimulation world (say, a 737-800 with winglets) and you wish tochange liveries to a different 737-800 with winglets, you may runinto a simulator lock-up if this is not done carefully.Getting around this limitation is simple: Load a different variantfrom the one you currently have loaded in the simulator. Usingour example above, since we are already flying a 737-800 withwinglets, simply choose a 737-800 or a 737-900, and thenchoose the 737-800 winglet model you wanted in the first place.This easy method will keep you from having to reload FSX whenswitching between liveries! Happy Flying!!

    I remeber reading about this in the Introduction document. It happens since the MD-11 I guess everytime you select another livery in the aicraft menu. There's a way around this without having to reboot FSX, but I don't remeber now. Take a look the the Introduction. It's there.
    Hi Matheus That's correct. In the introduction they talk about the HIMEM FIX and something else but I did all the tweaks and still get this. I don't think that is the problem but thanks for your reply smile.png

    Hi Gents I completed Ryan's tutorial with great success exept for battling to set the radio minimums to 100 and then exit from the flight back to the free flight page. I went to get some coffee and on my return I saw this picture. I then tried to reload the NGX but a lot of the graphics was greyed out and you could not do anything. I then exit from FSX completely and the NGX loaded normal again. I have done the complete introduction setup and the tweaks ( Used Bojote's FSX tweaking & Tuning tool) as recommended. Has any of you experienced this as well??

    Hi GentsJust wondering why you would want a boxed version? If you download the NGX when released and write it to a CD or a DVD you will have exactly the same as what will be in a boxed version excluding the packaging. You can be creative and make your own box! :(

    I would love some repaints of our local airlines like SAA, Kulula 101 and Mango. :(
    Hi HenkKulula 101 will definately be there because of Henning v Rensburg's involvement on the NGX dev team. This was mentioned by Ryan before. I'm pretty sure SAA will follow soon.

    Hi DenisWell done mate!! My text was set to Default size (125%)on my screen. I set it back to 100% and voilà! it is sorted!!Thanks again :(

    Johan,you probably have increased the font size in windows. running a high screen resolution? you must set the font size to 100% and then your 'problem' will be gone.

    Im running FS9 and never saw this b4.1- How many screens are you using?2- And if more than one, do they have different resolutions? If they do, try setting them to one resolution.3- You can also try with just one screen4- You can also try re-installing the MD-115- Is your graphics driver up to date? It might also be corrupted so try re-installing it.Those are the ideas that came to my mind, maybe someone else can shed more light here...Good LuckFouad
    Hi FouadThanks for the reply. I have only 1 screen. I have re-installed the MD11 and all my graphics drivers are up to date. Im running the MD11 on FSX. Nothing wrong with the aircraft. Just the load manager looking strange but it works well.Regards

    I'm at a loss for words here!
