  1. I am using XP 32 bit. I recently upgraded to Version 6.05 (From 5.X). In VOXATC Settings the User Manual, page 8 shows the screen for adjusting the speech rate. I am sure I had that with my old version 5.X. However, for 6.05 the screen is only half as tall and the Speech Volume adjustment and Average Speech Rate is gone. Where can I find these settings? The voices are extremely slow compared to what I am used to.Vann

  2. VannAre you using XP PRO or XP PRO 64?The reason I ask is I'm thinking of building a fast system to run FSX with VoxATC X and FsXpand (on a linked XP system). I'd prefer to use XP PRO 64 as I understand it can use more memory.Fredpop
I am using XP PRO (32 Bit) because that is what I already had. All my other machines are running VISTA and if I were starting from scratch and had to buy the Operating System I would have gone with VISTA. I really have no experience with XP PRO 64.Vann

  3. I recently purchased VOX ATC with AT&T Voices on CD. It installed perfectly and is registered. Now I want to upgrade to the latest version 5.61. I cannot find any description on how the upgrade is to be done in the User Manual for Version 5.61.I have also searched this forum and do not see any discussion on this, although some topics do mention that you must uninstall the old version. If I uninstall the currently installed version and then install the new downloaded version do I lose all of my configuration settings and have to re-enter them again? Will I also have to register again?I am running XP PRO. Do I uninstall the currently installed version by using the Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs folder? I do not see an uninstall module with VOX ATC.

  4. Hi Foto,My re-installation did not help unfortunately...The same problem. Do you also use Vista (64) Home Premium? Because I just called Microsoft, and they have explained to me that Vista Home Premium has no speech engine built in! So VoxATC is actually unusable unless Vista Home Premium-users are looking for some third-party speech recognition add-ons. I did not know this; I suggested Tegwyn to actually put this info on the VoxATC website. I kept thinking it is a bug in my set-up but Microsoft says it isn't.... Best wishes, Lennard
Lennard, Do you mean that VISTA Home Premium 64 has no speech engine or both VISTA Home Premium 32 and 54 have no speech engine?Vann

  5. I see in this thread that zfehr indicated that you could NOT file a flight plan and stay in the local traffic pattern and make touch and go's. Does this mean that you can still use VOX-ATC during this flight? i.e. talk to ground control and tower?
