  1. Hello,I know there has been some writing before on the subject of autobrakes, but I think I have a slightly different problem. When landing the NGX with autobrakes setting 2, below 80kts I begin with manual braking and the autobrake disengages. Plane is rolling smoothly and responding well on throttle and manual braking. When I switch the autobrake to off, the plane suddenly stops (you don't want that to happen on the runway..)When the plane has come to a hold, it takes a bit of braking and throttles to get her off the runway. When I don't switch the autobrakes to off after disengaging by manual braking, I don't have this problem. I then would have to switch the autobrakes off when stopping at the gate.Sounds familiar to anyone?Greetings,Ype Reitsma

  2. Ype- very good question....for me I did some benchmarks and found that the drive was performing much slower than rated...approx 350MB/s vs the 550MB/s seq read....I did some research and found a thread in a forum where someone said Marvell...bad...Intel....good....not much of an explanation. I referred to my mobo manual and found that the intel ports are brown vs. the marvell ports which are gray. Simply switched it and presto improved performance...(along with a 6gb/s cable).hope that is helpful
Thanks a million Steve. Got the same mobo so it's worth to give it a try!Ype Reitsma

  3. Thanks for the responses! I dived in FSUIPC for another time and yes, I had overlooked something: there was a conflict with the rudder assignment! Works perfect now. I used to calibrate through FSUIPC but PMDG advised in the intro-document for the NGX to calibrate with the configprogs of the hardware and use the "send to FS" assignment in FSUIPC.So no calibration of the flying controls in FSUIPC no more. Still quite responsive. Only axes I calibrate in FSUIPC are the gear lever and the reverser (prop and mixture levers) of my yoke. Ype Reitsma

  4. No CTD's so far, guess I'm lucky. Every now and then the system freezes/hangs though, but recovers after a few seconds. Installed the latest hotfix. Problem on take-off: can't keep the aircraft on the centerline, it won't react on my rudder pedals at all! I checked with the "system screen" on the lower CDU and they were/are working all right. Anybody? I use FSUIPC but without the calibration. For everything else: I'm still smiling flying this one (and looking around in the cockpit), great! Greetings, Ype Reitsma

  5. Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I noticed there are a lot of individual settings and possibilities in FSUIPC. I'm gonna try for sure. Makes me wonder if they tested the 737NGX with some sort of "basic/standard settings" cause it's likely gonna make a difference in the flying-experience by how you set this up?Maybe they got some advise/rules for the beta testers to follow..Greetings,Ype Reitsma

  6. Skipping back a little to the "fly-by-wire" principles of the 737 NGX, what gives the best response regarding yoke-assignment? Is it better to put the FSX control settings off and callibrate with FSUIPC? Or is your programming based on FSX control settings alone? When it can be more realistic by your product, I'd like to fly it that realistic! The more I see about this bird, the more it's getting obvious that this "something else"!Greetings,Ype Reitsma

  8. Great advice, thanks! Think I'm going for the Intel X25-M 160 Gb, I read a positive review about that one.It ain't cheap, but with all the rest of "fast" components of my new system (Asus Sabertooth P67, I7-2600K, 2x4Gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz CL8) I think it fits in fine (MD11 and NGX-proof), reckoning I'm ready for some years to come! Coming from a Dual Core 6400 2.13 GHz it should make a difference!Throttle On! (I'm not advertising :( )

  9. Fellows,Anybody got an idea about Solid State Drives? I'm planning to place one in my new system, probably about 160 Gig.Is it wise to put the OS and FSX together on this drive? When only using one of the two on that SSD I could buy a smaller one (cheaper). Thanks in advance for your ideas!Ype Reitsma

  10. In case of using SSD (for example 160 Gb), together with HDD, is it still not possible or even better to have OS and FSX together on the SSD?Just curious because I'm planning to buy a new PC for FSX.Ype Reitsma
