    my 2c worth... Robert stated at the Aerosoft Conference that they want to do planes that you can see at your local airport, that you might fly on when going on vacation etc, so don't think they will be doing anything other than Boeings and Airbuses.(not counting the specials like the DC6) If I had to bet on what they will do after the 747 I would probably say an Airbus of somekind, think about what aircraft you see when you go on holiday (or plane spotting!) Boeing 737, 747, 777 and soon 787 and Airbus a320,330 and 340 with the occasional 380 thrown in! I spent a day at Changi Airport last month (was on a stopover) and the vast majority of planes were Airbus A320s, followed by some 737s, On Long haul Boeing 777 was king with the A330 coming a close second, there were also some 747s and 4 A380s (2 Singapore Airlines and 2 Qantas!) So I think thats your pool to choose from, as they have already done 737 and 747 and are developing the 777, doesn't leave a lot more choices! (actually that might have been slightly more than 2c!)

     

    Absolutely, I honestly think they are smart enough to see that there is a HUGE market for Airbus, airbus itself may not wish to coorporate.... yet. But even if so it's not that important as many addons succesfull addons were done without much support. I think PMDG's main focus is start working on it's new engine for airbus, my bet they would start on an A340, But an A380 is also rather likely. Why? Those and not A330/A320? Because FSLABS officially announced to be working on those and by the time the 747v2 is ready you the a330 would be quite ahead development if not ready.

     

    I dont know much about the relationships between FSL and PMDG, honestly... think those two should work together and conquer/aglormerate the big Airplane addon market alltogether. To make it finally more of a big commercial buisness.

    I think it's wise for PMDG to at least wait and see what FSL does, as they seem to intend to do exactly this (expand to other Airbus aircraft). That said, since PMDG seems to concentrate on the popular current airliners, I can't help but wonder where they'll go after the current product lineup being finished. If they aren't going to model the 757/767, then that just leaves the new 787 which I can't see PMDG doing until it's been around for a while longer.

     

    Airbus then maybe... working together with FSL? Agglomerate? Airbus department? :o:O I want.

    Yeh FSL will get around it... Yet IMO their Cockpit and Exterior can't match the NGX in anyway.

     

    But imagine if PMDG fully simulated the wonderful draconic beast the A380 is. IMO with the most sexy and modern flightdeck 'round. Just to the same Level as the 747 v2.

     

    There's a huge market for Airbus. PMDG.You've been too germany, you know what they all shout. Think of the dollars you'll earn. And once you got atleast 1 realistic FWB Engine... you can easily expand it on all other airbusses. Even more easier then you are doing on the boeing.

     

    It's a whole gaping hole in the market. Airbus all the way.

     

    Though I certainly have bought and used (to what my crappy hardware allows) your epic products. 747x and NGX bieng my favorite.

     

    P.S. That NLS thing is nothing more than vaporware.

    Hi guys,

     

    Please no flaming this is an opinion.

     

    I am looking at the front of the fuselage and I think the shape is a little off, check the comparison shots, the angle is not the but IRL the 777 front is different to the picture? Peoples thoughts?

     

    Fan textures: I still think the running fan blade textures could be improved, I think the [other] company do them better on the 777..

    I had almost same problem - my MD-11 was crashing the FSX during the load in the Free Flight/Aircraft screen. It was not reaching even the AIRAC database loading. After the CTD the windows message was statin ntdll.dll was responsible.At the same time J41 was running flawlessly.After couple of days I received a very thorough way from PMDG how to fix the situation.
    1. MD-11 has to be uninstalled.
    2. PMDG folder in FSX main folder has to be deleted. MD-11 folder in Simobjects has to be deleted as well.
    3. fsx.cfg and dll.dll from C:/User........ delete (or rename)
    4. Start FSX to create new fsx.cfg and dll
    5. Install MD-11
    6. Say yes to all prompts from FSX about 3rd party modules....

    Now my MD-11 works like charmI guess the same approach can be used for the B747Hope this helps

    Honestly I do not run Vista anymore because of too many issues. However my approach would be the following:1) Ensure FSX SP2 was installed and that I installed PMDG after SP22) Read FAQS http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/PMDG_747-400X_FAQ3) Ensure that I made the memory edita) bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 2560 by going to "Programs-Accessories-Command prompt" Right Click the command prompt and select "run as administrator". Cut and paste bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 2560 at the prompt4) Run windows update and update everything there.5) Last resort I would uninstall FSX. FSX is the biggest thing on my computer and the main reason I own a computer. Therefore when I get down to the point that I feel that I have to re-install FSX I will always wipe out my OS thoroughly using a drive wiping program and completely start from scratch on a clean system. Following these guidelines http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=290416) When I go to install FSX I would install it on c:FSX and not the default Program folders.7) I would also completely kill UAC and follow this information by NickN http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_post...D=174126#1741268) If all else failed I would contact PMDG Support You may wish to make this your first step. support@precisionmanuals.comBear in mind there are a lot of people running the 747 with Vista so we know it works.     SP2? I'm not running SP2 sir...I Run FSX SP1.I'm trying the memory edit. Will report back.BTW Reinstalling the OS? Might not be an option for me.

    God...Sorry, you know insted of laughing me out right there you could have helped me though if you really resolved the problems though. It's day 4 and my PMDG Still doesn't work, so it's a bit logical that I get irritated though.

    Hello,I always get the "Fatal Error" Message, when selecting the Aircraft from the Aircraft Selection Screen.After the Installation I was prompted wether to accept all those DLL's. (3 at FSX startup, and some more when loading the 747). When I load the 747, I see the Database loading and the model (Altough sometimes it crashes not even displaying the model or hardly starting the Database build). Then it CTD's displaying the message: "A Fatal Error occured, searching for a solution" --> "FSX Will now restart"I Have: - Checked the DLL.XML, Shouldn't be something wrong with it as I reinstalled FSX right?- FSX.CFG, - UAC Disabled, - Ran everything Under ADMIN right (But I'm an on a admin account as well so it makes no sense), - Every Folder assosiated to FSX or PMDG have Full acces to every user,- Reinstalled FSX Deleting all the addons,- Ran the Registry Cleaner after every single step of the 2nd reinstallation attempt including FSX!.Windows Vista Ultimate 32Intel Pentium D (2 Cores, 2.88GHz)4GB Dual Channel RAM (2x2GB)Please help me, I'm very Frustrated and this is my first PMDG Product. I'm even angry.Niko Pesterev
