Sounds a bit like an icing problem. The plane might be too heavy to fly that high, was the AI on?

Does the ngx even simulate icing? I have yet to see any icing effects or warnings with the ngx and I fly mostly in Norway. Anyway I think a screen shot of the cockpit would be the best Jeroen.

I am still not seeing any turbulence. Just to be clear, I use ezdok instead of your camera. Do I have to enable the camera to be able to see the turbulence?

Radar Contact (latest version 4.3.38...) allows you to asign a predesignated parking spot on the Controller Info popup which is accessible after you load the flightplan.

Hi John and thanks for the reply. I have a feeling I will just have to tough it out, I am surprised that a company hasn't made a good ATC upgrade for FSX. I have used radar contact but that doesn't even touch the ground traffic. Thanks anyway

Hi guys, I have an odd question. Every time I land at an airport with the NGX the default ATC always gives me the smallest parking spot it can find. I am always on some apron far away from the gates with the CRJ's and Q400s. Is there a way of tricking the ATC into thinking I'm a medium or heavy plane so it will assign me a gate?

I use ezdok Rex and opus, all work great together! One thing you will have to sacrifice is turbulence on the aircraft. Instead of turbulence they have a camera that just shakes the pilots head which is not for me but the weather they produce is so good that it out weighs this. If you switch from as2012 or Rex you will see weather like you have never seen weather before. I have forgotten all about as2012 and Rex weather engines. In my opinion you should buy opus as soon as possible!

Hello, I just wanted to start off saying thank you for this amazing weather addon. I can't remember the last time I caught myself with my jaw dropped open looking at fsx I understand for the time being there is not any turbulence with this weather but are there any plans for future updates to include it? The camera shake just feels like my pilot is constantly having a seizure.

Ya I know how you feel, I,m still down there and :(. I work with the q400s though, that will be much harder for pmdg to master for start up sounds. Will be interesting to see if they can get it just right.

Ya Bryan I was with you, I thought for sure it was a fspassenger bug but this chock tweak has fixed it for me. By the way thanks for the good customer service you provide, wish more developers were like you.

 

 

You can set the parking brakes, the important is that you set the wheel chocks before shutting down, so that the FO doesn't set them...

For me i have solved the problem in this way:

 

When i reached the gate, i don´t use the parking brakes. In the FMC i activate the wheel chokes, then the FO starts the shutdown sequence too...and no CTD.

16 flights in and not a CTD in sight! Thanks Frank!

I'll try, but it doesn't explain why 99 percent of users have never experienced this, including my self.

 

I've tried 100 times to reproduce this and can't I'm afraid.

 

Nor does it explain the other things people have tried which they say solved the issue.

 

However, I'll do some additional tests.

 

Hopefully I can reproduce it.

 

If I can reproduce it, I can fix it.
