Having the same issue here, set auto cruise to 8x and it drops back to 2x and that's it (which causes it to chase the line and bank like mad).

We had terrible winds here in the UK on Friday 14th from about 22.00Z. I was listening to my air band receiver and all planes were diverting or had to perform go arounds then diverting. Aer Lingus flights from Dublin to EGLL actually were diverting back to Dublin. So in the real world pilots didn't continue with the approaches in those conditions.
Slightly off topic, I landed at EGKK on the 14th @ 22:02 (a BA A320) and it was 30 minutes of hell lol. I've never been scared of flying but I sure was then! Think what scared me the most was the wing dipping above the threshold. I'm sure we landed a bit down the runway as the braking was quite harsh. We turned off fairly quick and I could see the red center line lights probably 50ft ish away. Superb job from the pilots though!
Give it whirl in FS, it's quite fun!

Try creating a fsx.cfg file using http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html.
What is your AffinityMask set to in fsx.cg?
Reason I say that is core 1 should not be 100%, it could either be FSX (which shouldn't use core 1 much) or something running in the background of windows. When I run fsx, it always uses cores 2-4

Just got an email from AoA saying the training had been released.
Looks like 3 options you can choose from;
Captains Pack (both Flightwork and Groundwork)
Flightwork Pack (FlightWork guides you through every step of operations, from gate-to-gate, with our real world pilots. Authentic 777 Control.)
Goundwork Pack (Know what the 777 systems are doing at all times so you can handle any procedure or emergency thrown your way.)
http://www.flyaoamedia.com/777-training/
Think I will personally get the flightwork one

Fantastic news, might annoy the neighbours with my sub rumbling though!

Amazing aircraft, well worth the wait! Loving the new operations centre also!

And its out

Would be awesome if they made the icon like a clock counting down

This was recently on a TV program, if I remember correctly, the cause was a bolt piercing the fuel tank after the slats were retracted. This didn't become apparent until the crew shutdown the engines (the thrust was blowing the fuel away from the engine) and it started dripping on the red hot rear nozzle causing it to ignite.

Hi
Having an issue with the departure runway at CYVR. For some reason, VoxATC wants to use runway 30/12 instead of the main 08/26. Is there a way I can force these to not be used?

Brilliant thanks, ended up just loading at the gate last night. What a fantastic plane

Hi Guys,
I've tried searching but my Google foo is failing me.
How do I load the situation files from the advanced tut? I've copied the fssave and wx file to my FSX saved files (and tried putting the mj1/2 files there and in the scripts folder), but the saved flight just doesn't show?
Anything I can try?
Thanks

Great video, what T7 is this?

Bump, anything I could try? Such a random issue!

True, ok so maybe without the backup wire, backup units. Wonder how much weight they could save?
-
With the new wireless technologies do you think Boeing/Airbus would ever consider putting in some kind of fly by wireless system? I know it sounds mad but maybe having the wires there as a backup system would work also. I don't know the failure rate of the fly by wire, but possibly removing the cable could be something for the future?

Because my CC is burning this month! Last stop, EZDOK...

Dammit, caved and bought it

Sometimes I fly without REX-E. One day, while flying with FSX "Fair Weather" I found a fairly large thermal near the turn to base at Riverside, CA. It was messing with my pattern (1000 fpm up when I'm trying to descend) so I tried turning on REX-E...figured it's real world weather would clear it out. Nope...not sure it had any effect on it at all. Maybe they don't do anything with thermals but, I too, sometimes wonder about their wx engine.
I will have to try that next time, see if FSX is doing anything funky with the weather.

The price of ASE2012 initially put me off so I purchased REX Essentials. Whilst I am quite happy with it looks wise, I can't say I'm "feeling" the weather much with it (like taking off from Gatwick for the last few days, the QNH has been 10.13) but that might be me doing something wrong.

So my Saitek Yoke/Pedals arrived yesterday and all I can say is WOW! Why did I wait so long! After figuring out FSUIPC, I got everything set up for the PMDG NGX.
Question I have is, when flying some aircraft (for example it happens on the default 172), the ailerons are full left or right and the trim wheel is constantly rotating down. If I then try the Default Mooney, everything is fine! This odd behaviour has happened with the 172, DC3 and a few others.
I have disabled the FSX control support and setup the basic controls as global settings within FSUIPC.
Any help would be appreciated!

Haha like it, cheers guys, I personally prefer it nice and dark :)

How stable is this program? Biggest problem I have is how erratic other programs are (like controllers just stop talking to you en route)
-
Brilliant thanks, didn't know if there were rules per say regarding the flood lights and night time vision (for example on approach)
