  1. I just started messing with the SR22 again and I'm trying to figure out all of the features Carenado has included in the G1000.  I'm doing well, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to get back to the map page once I enter a flight plan, approach, etc.  I'm getting stuck on the info page and nothing I do seems to bring me back to where I can turn the FMS knob to get back to the moving map.

I have ran across a few other posts where people were having the same issues but haven't been able to find any solutions.

  2. I actually have to say after playing around a bit to get controls set up this is what I hoped FLIGHT would be... These are by far the best graphics and details I have seen to date, flyability seems spot on, I am really impressed...

I REALLY hope Aerofly sticks with this and expands it, what they have done so far is phenomenal!

One question, anyone know how to change the pan rate? I find with the snap to view it is too quick and the pan mode seems incredibly slow... Any ideas? (Do I need my trackIR again)

Glad to hear you are enjoying it! Unless I am practicing a "procedure" or instrument approach, seems I rarely touch FSX anymore.

I seem to remember reading somewhere on their forums, way back when, about the pan rate, but I cannot find it now. I always use Track IR, if you still have it that would be your best bet, especially when flying the Pitts :)

  3. Well you guys convinced me to give it a whirl...

I don't think you will be disappointed. It's basic "Saturday morning flying." Just cruising around for the fun of it. Click on the Track-IR icon to activate, click on the Aerofly icon and bam! Flying within 15 seconds, no waiting for addon weather programs to start up, cd's to load to make sure you have a license, etc etc. The planes actually feel like they're flying in air and not on rails.

  4. I am finding this sim is filling in the stale FSX, not quite ready for prime time Xplane, and didn't quite make it flight for me. Yes you can't twiddle any dials ( which I always found cumbersome and taking away from what it was like rw-unless you had incredible hardware) but for getting the feeling and fun of flight this has come te closest IMHO.

I'm finding quite the same experience also. Even though I've got X-Plane 10, just can't get used to the scenery, and FSX just doesn't feel the same anymore after experiencing turbulence coming in for a landing over some trees, or feeling the wind effects off the hills surrounding an airport in Aerofly. Love flying the Pitts and seeing the shadows in all the cockpits, hearing the sound of the slipstream changing when slipping, the change in sound when taking off and the plane leaving the ground.

Hopefully the developers keep improving this one, it's quickly becoming my "go-to" sim when I need to relax a few minutes.
