XP could have been the next gen simulator, but the pathetic GUI is just horrible to say the least, not to mention the lack of support from major addon developers.

Also, the terrain textures look horrible.

I've been trying to install my fsx copy on my brand new system which has 8.1 as its main operating system but without success.

I'm getting a gfxhelper error right at the end of the installation.

I tried installing it in windows 7 compatibility mode, but that didn't help at all.

I'm lost here, and could use some assistance.
