  1. Definitely not a license problem, and reinstall is a last resort since the installer has a repair option that should be used instead of reinstall.  Anyway, by any chance are you loading the PMDG aircraft on top of another PMDG aircraft?? Be sure to select a FSX aircraft for the free flight default. It's not unusuall for FSX to take 20-30 sec to display the gear and ground clutter, but I assume your problem does not go away. Load something besides the B777 to make sure normal works then try the B777. You can open a trouble ticket at support.precisionmanuals.com to get help direct from PMDG. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help sir. I've opened a ticket, but due to time differences, I only get a reply per day, meaning this could take a whole week worst case scenario.

    Nothing else worked.

  2. You can make your full real name a part of your forum signature.

For your wx radar to work you need to have the payware Active Sky Next weather engine installed and running - is it in your setup?

    Yes, Installed, and running!

I do get correct tests, though, but other than that, nothing!

  3. Did you hit the Wxr button also on the MCP ? or you won't see anything.

    Done that.

Do you have Active Sky Next?

Yep, In fact I purchased it just for the sake of getting the Radar, So it would be a huge let down if it wouldn't work!

Please add your name to your posts or you will have your thread deleted without further discussion, and we want to help you, we really do!

Sorry 'Bout that. Will do from now onwards as can't edit the post now.

    Thanks,

  4. Dear Sir / Madam,

So as everyone has been doing, I downloaded the Service pack yesterday. To start off with, it's a GREAT update, especially the Weather Radar.

When I installed it and did everything necessary, I went to start my flight and up to my disappointment the Radar didn't show anything, and yes, in stormy weather!

    It just says -

    WX+T

    +2M

    VAR

I tried changing gain but not even one piece of Green block showed up.

Once again, a great update, but I'd highly appreciate any solutions.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jake

  6. Jake,

You should find your answers in the Air_Systems.pdf manual on page 21 and following.

    HTH

    Cheers, Richard

Maybe a tail strike with a ruptured pressure bulkhead causing lack of pressurisation

A tad bit more info is needed. What APFD modes were selected?

Thanks guys, Managed to solve it! :)

  7. Re-read what I wrote

"Additionally, it's considered good practice, regardless, to set an altitude in the window before beginning a climb or descent, in order to ensure that the climb/descent will terminate at that altitude."

ATC is expecting you to terminate your climb at the altitude you've been cleared to.  If the last cleared altitude was your initial climb...?

Answer: You'd want to leave it at your initial climb, until cleared higher.

Sorry 'bout that, Am currently trying your solution out! FIngers crossed hehe

  8. Depending on the version (AS2012, ASX, ASE, etc), if you use DWC, this can cause issues.

Make sure you have the right throttle override setting for how you'd like to operate the aircraft.  The various settings are explained in the intro manual.

Yes and no.  If on VNAV, it will not climb above (or descent below) the altitude set in the altitude window.  Additionally, it's considered good practice, regardless, to set an altitude in the window before beginning a climb or descent, in order to ensure that the climb/descent will terminate at that altitude.  CFIT is real.

I've got AS2012 and will check on  that

    Will look into this too

So I should set 37000ft on the AP instead of initial climb?

  9. Oh, I know what might be causing the zig-zagging, do you use Active Sky?

As far as the altitude problem, you mean to tell me with the AP engaged, you can't even select an altitude in the MCP, hit VS and go to that altitude?

    Indeed I do use activesky!

Re. Alt, Isn't Autopilot supposed to climb alone?

  10. Hi,

I'm trying out the PMDG 777 I bought a few months ago, and I'm encountering a few problems with the route and TOGA,

    - ON takeoff, The T7 is not following the route and keeps going in circles or else in zig-zags, I followed many tutorials, to no avail.

    - On takeoff, when I press TOGA, it doesn't accelerate and I have to abort until it works.

Hope to hear from someone soon,

    Jake Meilak
