Hello guys. I have this problem and I dont know how to solve this. Everything is up to date and I even installed all the latest libraries from the website.
Here are some pictures to support my claim. can you help me resolve this issue? Everywhere is blurry but airports.
Thank you.

P.S: By the way my system is pretty decent and my sim is FSX. I generally get around 35 FPS.

Yes sir. I have it active. Sorry for bringing a dead topic alive but I still have this issue.
Hello,
Do you have FTX Global Vector installed (latest version is 1.20) and active ?

Hello,
I am having problems receiving and transmitting voice over vatsim with any client.
I found a port that I needed to open through my router which I did and now I can connect to the network and fly without any problems.
But the voice is a big issue.
Is there a specific port that I need to forward to get the voice transmitting working again?
Thank you.
P.S: I am at boarding school. The network is really complicated and I have to right a letter to forward any port.

Hey, how are you?
I am using FSX and DX10 with Steve's Fixer. It doesn't matter which scenery which addon, but my sim will lag every few seconds... I mean the FPS is constant for few seconds than it lags... After about 2 seconds FPS starts to increase.
This drives me crazy and I don't know what to do...
If anyone can help, I will appreciate the assistance
Thanks.

Apparently, Saitek x52 can be programmed to control truck doors and shoot at people with FSUIPC
P.S: At second 40...

I just wanted to learn if they had any intentions toward developing an airport for FSX. "Why so serious?..."

What about FSX ?? :(

Hello pilots,
With the starting of my Junior year, I was thinking about changing my old Logitech Extreme Pro controller and getting a new one.
First, I want to just clarify that, I generally fly NGX and sometimes A321. (Hopefully I will fly more Airbus with the releases of NLS A380 and FSLabs A3XX)
But my simulation experience is not only limited to these few aircraft. I have many planes in my hanger, but these are the ones I fly a lot:
1. NGX
2. AXE
3. A2A G/A (C172 and Cherokee)
4. A2A P40 and P51
5. Q400 Dash 8
Because NGX is my first choice, I thought about getting a yoke, rather then a Joystick. But because I live in a dorm, where I have to "hide" my sim stuff at nights, I have to get a small or rather "moveable" controller.
First thing came to my mind was Saitek X52 Pro, that I had to return due to the display on the throttle panel, not being compatible with many addon aircraft.
So my best bet is Saitek Pro X-55. It is nice, easy to handle and looks awesome. Also, from Froogle's videos, I had a feeling that it is a really good controller...
So here on Avsim Forums, I decided to write my short story and get your opinions on it. You can provide Pros and Cons, or even tell me more about your controller.
I will probably purchase at the end of September or in October.
Thanks for everything.
P.S: I am not a big fan of Boeing or Airbus. I just fly with the one that feels real and good. As for now it is PMDG. Also, what is my favorite if you ask .............. P-51 Mustang ........... Preferably ones with Blondie on 'em

I really want to go back home get my license info. For now, what I understand is, (From milviz's comment) there is no solution for the problem?
What do you mean by hardware? I use FSUIPC and as I know A/T has nothing to do with hardware :( You just set it from MCP and that's it... But still, I will try contacting you with my license info to get more help on this. Thanks

Dominique, in all fairness the failure of one single function even in real life does not necessarily deadline an otherwise flyable aircraft, so why would a temporary malfunction in an otherwise outstanding aircraft be a "show stopper?"
Unless of course you simply don't trust the avionics shop's technicians to identify and fix the problem, it shouldn't be such a big deal.
On the other hand, there are many, many others who also own this product who've not experienced this problem, so it's entirely possible that something else is at play. In any case, the purpose of this "AVSIM" forum is to provide a place for "general information" that doesn't require anyone to register at the formal support forum(s) for specific products.
Thank you. I really want to find an answer to this problem. But the problem is I am away from home, so I don't have my licence info to contact the developer. Let's see if someone helps...
Also the other autopilot, which is like CWS mode on NGX, does that have autothrust system??

Will do it when I get home I need my purcahse list document which is on my main comp, where I store my purchase infos... Thanks anyways..

I know... But I really want to use her. Not because it is really fun to fly and it handles really well, but because I asked my VA crew add this aircraft to detailed ACARS options to track the system. I am shy enough to make another request on another aircraft...

Glad you brought this up, because I too had the same experience before I completely uninstalled everything FSX- and related prior to my new system build. Should be intersting to follow this.
It feels good to know that some people had the same issue, because it can bring up more people to help and make conversations... I am struggling with the problem on every flight and it really grinds my gears...
Let's hope we will find the solution and be able to fly her again...

Hello everyone.
After my purchase of MIlviz 737-200, everything looked awesome and I was very happy about it.
I planned my route and started my engines for the first time, listening to that beautiful sound of the engines and APU shutting down.
Because the route was long, about 1.6 Hours, I planned to use LNAV all the way.
OK VRef speeds are programmed to MCP by CDU and everything looks perfect.
Just to make things clear I used FirstAir version of the aircraft with FMS/Sperry 177 option - which comes with fully functional VNAV, LNAV and Autothrottle.
50% N1 and A/T engage - V1, rotate, V2... Climbing through 3000, I engage A/P and put aircraft in LNAV+Speed mode.
I start to turn the speed knob to 240 knots due to restriction in the area. Suddenly A/T goes crazy and puts aircraft in MTOP mode or 100% N1... Aircraft overspeeds and I disengage the A/T.
After few minutes of climbing and manually managing the speed, I engage the A/T again. Nothing happens... My speed starts to drop.
Then again disengage and engage again. Now it again puts 100% MTOP and so on...
I don't know what can cause the problem. FYI I did not put speed in for every waypoint in CDU. Because I wanted to manage the speed by MCP panel with speed mode...
If anyone has a solution for this problem please let me know

In REX 4 settings, decrease the resolution of the textures. In my case I put low or medium. Despite that, it does not affect my simulation's graphics, but FPS increases a lot...

If you were willing to move to Canada, a few universities here offer combined CPL and Bachelor degree programs, for example, The University of Waterloo offers a Bachelor of Science and Aviation program, as well, The University of Western Ontario has a Business and Aviation program. There are some Colleges that offer aviation diplomas such as Moint Royal University and Selkirk College.
Yeah. Canada is fine with me. I have many friends from my country in Waterloo. Actually like 13 or 14
They also have four-year Aviation degree programs completely online, so you can do your actual flight training wherever you live. Or of course you can still go the traditional route at their main campus in Utah. I am considering the online option with them, 'cause I still need to work full time. It is a little bit more pricey if you don't live in Utah though.
I never heard of online Aviation. I will do more research about it

Stupid question from me for the OP:
Have you flown yet for real? Have you done a test flight?
Before even going that direction I would at least do that...
I thought about being a pilot myself, but I'm not sure as I'm sensitive to motion and have some slight ear ache issues at high alts. Just a thing to note.
Because I study and live in US, i fly a lot. Not only in big airliners, also in small aircraft like C172. Here in Baku, we have a Flight Academy where you can pay to fly if you have a pilot friend to sit beside you, simply an instructor...

You can also get good advice on this topic over at the airlinepilotforums
Thanks, I will take a look at that

I am really sorry about my comments on community school... I mean ... as I said I am cool with community college; it is just the people in my country.
I would definitely go to a community and then get my training at ATP, then a job - simple right?
But I don't know. I will have to think carefully and research more on this topic.
Thanks anyways...

Edit: Never mind. I'm out of this one.
Did I say something wrong?
I know someone that studied at Mount Hood Community College in Oregon. She wanted to be a pilot so bad.
Now she works for the FAA. I don't know what she does, but I would imagine that's a decent living.
I don't mean Community College is bad. As I said if I was American or if I was from a country where people were more intelligent or at least healthy minded, I would chose the community college path. But because I can't change reality, I will go with ERU or anything like it, probably UND too...

Just to share some information about flying things...
Ludwig II of Bavaria had a dream to fly over alps. He had all the sketches and other things required, but government killed him before he flew... Also the real Disney Castle, Neuschwanstein was his castle... He built it

I'm assuming you want to be an airline pilot? So the quick run down is three words:
Seniority Seniority Seniority
The faster you get out of college with your ratings and get to ATP minimums, the better. I went the Embry-Riddle "Worldwide" route because it was much cheaper than moving to Daytona (and I was able to complete flight training locally much cheaper as well).
Much has changed in the wake of Flight 3407, including the prerequisites for an ATP and the price of getting to that certificate (seriously ridiculous what non-ATP guys need now just to take the written). What it will do short term is create a demand for qualified pilots at the regionals -- keep in mind the majors are also coming up on a "pilot shortage". In the mean time, your short term goal should be to get a degree quickly and get to the regionals to start logging 121 multi-crew jet time. Get to the regionals by getting quality time by instructing or whatever it is you can line up (especially instrument instruction). Remember the magic number for the regionals is 1,500 hours.
So to answer your specific question: Find a nice two year program that has an articulation agreement with an aeronautical university. Typically you can receive an associates in something aviation related as quickly as you can get the credit hours, and then flow right into the bachelor's program and be finished within 3-3 1/2 years. I'll use my local school as an example...
http://www.gtcc.edu/about-gtcc/campus-info-and-directions/aviation-campus.aspx
http://worldwide.erau.edu/locations/greensboro/index.html
You said cost isn't a concern, but I disagree. In this business the less debt you have, the better. No kidding. That being said, two local schools in the area provide substantial discounts for students in the above program.
I definitely agree with you. Believe me if I was American I would chose that path...
But if I go to a community college, despite I have to say this, but I will - my family will not ... um ... like it...
I don't know how to explain it... Because people who are in US from my country went to community college, just because their grades were bad and all those things.
I don't care actually - I just need my degree and licences - but my family and people in such a small country will just hate the idea and add me to the losers list. I know it sounds stupid, but it is true.
That is the reason I am going to an prestigious college - at least I am dreaming about it. I feel like I am stuck and don't know what to do.
Also, can you please provide what will the difference be, if I go to ERU and get my degree and licence in 4 years and +2 years of instructing to get my flight hours required for regional... Also FAA reduced fight hour limit for regionals in August, 2013 from 1500 to 1000...
Thanks...
