Solutions

  1. Syfen's post in PMDG 777 CDU issues was marked as the answer   
    Can be closed. Look a bit further and found a post that the ARPT_RNWY.dat file in FSX/PMDG/Navdata can be corrupted. I deleted this and once i have started the PMDG 777 again it rebuilded.
