Is this the same format as vPilot (https://github.com/albar965/littlenavmap/issues/468)?

Can you attach or send me a working and not working file? I'll have a look at it.

    Alex

Not sure about similarity of format with vPilot but xPilot is the newish system for VATSIM with new voice comms and xPlane. I think they both use the .vfp format.

Can't see how to attach files in this Forum.

How would you like me to send it to you?

    What I forgot to mention:
Make sure to use the latest Xpconnect plugin. I fixed the new turboprop model already beginning of last year and I've seen people using stone age versions.
    Latest Xpconnect is Version 1.0.18.

    Hi Alex

Thanks for the advice to upgrade to latest version of Little Xpconnect. My bad for not spotting that issue. Everything now works fine.

    regards

    Hi Alex,

I'm working on this issue at SimCoders to fix the PC-12 fuel reporting thing.

Actually, in PlaneMaker I cannot set the fuel type nor I did change it before. What I did is change the engine type from the old turbine model to the new freeturbine model which is a more accurate representation of the PT6.

Could this be the issue? Could it be that if LittleNavMap does not recognize the new engine type, it falls back to a piston engine and so avgas?

    Thanks!

    Noted, thanks

    Hi,

simply use "Aircraft" -> "Edit aircraft performance". Then go to the tab "Performance" and change the fuel type on top. This meant by correcting it manually. Check the numbers afterwards if they are still correct. But this will not fix the wrong reporting from the simulator.

Not sure why the PC-12 reports the wrong fuel/weight ratio. Does not make sense for this aircraft.
Some special planes like the DA-62 which is a piston actually consuming jetfuel do report avgas. Understandable there due to simulator limitations.

    Hi Alex

Thanks for your suggestion. It sounds like its an aircraft report issue. I've taken 2 screenshots that show the Fuel Report tab with Jetfuel and the Current Performance tab with Avgas for today's flight. I have overlaid the aircraft performance file on both to show it was set with Jetfuel.

It doesn't appear that I can attach the png files on this forum.

I'll take it up with Carenado on the x-Plane forum.

  5. Context: XP11.40 with Carenado PC12 HD Series XP11 with Simcoders Reality Expansion Pack

Successfully created Aircraft Performance file for PC12 in LNM using standard aircraft performance data and Fuel Type 'Jetfuel'. When I create a new Flight Plan, LNM shows Fuel Type as 'Jetfuel', which is correct.

When I fly the sortie, the Current Performance tab shows Fuel Type as 'Avgas'', which is incorrect.

Have checked online manual and understand from paragraph 35.2.2.2 that Fuel Type is reported by the simulator.

How do I: ''Correct this manually if add-on aircraft do not provide a correct fuel type''

Not sure if this a Carenado or x-Plane issue because it doesn't appear possible to change it manually in LNM.

    Thanks for your help.

    Good evening all!

As the title suggests, my XP11 takes up to 30 minutes to load up at a UK Airport.  I assumed this is because I have ORBX True Earth North, East and South; along with several UK 2000 and Orbx Airports.  I'm operating Windows 7 64bit with 16GB RAM and NVIDIA 60MSI GTX1060.

At All other worldwide airports it takes between 3-7minutes- which I can live with.

I do acknowledge that I have a numerous airports, aircraft and plugins.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    James

I would agree with this issue about very slow X-Plane startup loading of scenery files in the OrbX area of the UK. I use Process Lasso to manage performance and can see where the CPU and RAM are being challenged during the load sequence. I sequenced the loading of scenery files in accordance with guidance on OrbX website a few weeks ago and that should not be an issue.

How does one attach log.txt files in this forum?

I don't think I should have an issue with my computer spec.

I'm going to check out X Organiser 2.0. I'd welcome any further advice on this topic.

  7. I'm trying to update from 2.13 to 2.19 for a combined 750/650 system.

I used the update option from within xPlane and downloaded the zip file containing rxpGTN-750-XPL and rxpGTN-650-XPL application files.

I've run the re-install process using the 750 application file but it gets stuck because it can't overwrite the rxpGtnSim64.dll file in bin folder under GTN Simulation/X-Plane. I still have the 16/02/2019 version of the dll file.

I've also tried the ecommerce installer on the home page, but that's no better.

Any suggestions about how I can resolve this issue?

    Thanks

Not sure it could be any easier the simply running the installer and selecting reinstall... Not sure why the heck anyone would purchase from F1 and not make an account...

Perhaps because it's not obvious one would need to revisit F1 site to do an update? Hindsight is wonderful ...

    Hi Bob,

I'm sorry the reinstallation process experience didn't match the experience you've had with the product once flying with it.

Please note my comment about our Store FAQ is only meant to give you the shortest path to the answer. In effect, the 'How do I reinstall my software' topic describes the alternative process using the purchase key and password which are given the first time you purchase, instead of using an account registered to our e-commerce procurement partner system.

In the end I'm glad you're now enjoying our product and thank you for your kind words.

I have a lot of sympathy with Bob re the challenging process of updating this software.

I purchased the 750/650 combination 2 weeks ago and discovered I needed an update today when I checked the plugin tab. It's not obvious that one needs to 'reinstall' the whole software when one is only trying to make an update to an existing purchase.

Perhaps a pinned description of the key steps for an update at the top of your RXP General Forum, i.e. it requires a reinstall,  would help to prevent others having to ask the question so many times?

    BTW - love the products
