    I still have the stutters, but they are a lot less pronounced on other airports. I haven't had the message popping up again, thankfully.

    I have not flown since yesterday, I'll give it a look once I leave VQPR. Perhaps later today, or tomorrow morning.

    Is this a default or third party airport?

    Manuel

    It is a third party airport, MSK's Gilgit. It is rather old, and as far as I can tell it does not have any registered parking spots, just a runway and tower. The default doesn't have anything else either as far as I remember.

  4. I have been using UCGX for quite some time now and enjoyed it greatly, but today I hit a snag. While setting up for a flight in the King Air 350i (Milviz) at Gilgit, OPGT, I got extreme stutters every 5-10 seconds. The sim would freeze for several seconds. It seemed to also coincide with a message: "Ultimate Ground Crew X - Couldn't find the nearest airport to your current location!".

    Once I started rolling, the stuttering went away, but came back immediately as I stopped taxi. I took off and once airborne it stopped stuttering, but I still have the message popping up every few seconds.

    I'm flying with P3D V4.5 HF3, and downloaded an update from the FS2Crew website on april 25th - the UCGX log shows this repeated over and over (with different positions and altitudes):

            ERROR! - Couldn't find the nearest airport to your current location!...
            USER's aircraft model name: [Milviz KA350i LN-TIV]
            USER's aircraft CURRENT location:
                +-> Latitude:        33.89800209  degrees
                +-> Longitude:        74.84241196  degrees
                +-> Altitude:        9397.354  meters
                +-> True Heading:    149.164  degrees

    Any help is appreciated..

  5. I've resorted to using FSLabs' Spotlights to create a good landing light for the addons where I struggle seeing anything. While it is inconvenient, since i can't hotkey it, it's way better than most addon versions.

    That said, I'd love to see some other light options for the Falcon50 (and the Lear35). Right now, I can't even see the line in front of me, and many airports I fly to do not have green lights on the taxiways at the general aviation parks.

    I'm well aware that this might be directly related to the shaders I use, but even so, I don't see the same kind of issues with the bigger aircraft, nor with for instance the A2A Bonanza.

  6. I am pretty sure that the aircraft (like many other addon aircrafts without saved states) load based on the default flight. So if you load that one up (in P3D v4 it's the Raptor on the default airfield), shut that down to C&D, that's what you will get in the F50. The only issue I have with it loading running is that it starts rolling on load, which is a bit annoying. Nothing that can't be solved with the parking brakes though.

    We are fixing this issue as we found that there was a typo and only gen 1 had to be off when it should be all 3 generators. And we did not use the parking brake we use true airspeed of 0.1 which mean if wind is on this will fail. So we are removing true airspeed and using parking brake. Thanks for reporting issue.

    Glad to hear! Any idea when this fix will be pushed to SimMarket? I can see that the change is on the website, but SimMarket is still showing 1.4.

  8. Hello!

    I picked up this beautiful bird today, and I'm struggling with the Ground Power Unit. I seem to be missing something when it comes to its operation, and I just can not get it to stay checked in the aircraft options page.

    In the video below, you can see how I make sure parking brake is set, battery 1 and 2 is on, and when pressing the GPU unit, it just blinks and disables itself.

    I am not sure if there is something I am missing - an aircraft on parking brake with or without chocks on, should be able to have the GPU connected no?

    Here is the video: http://i.tivec.org/2019-01-09_16-38-25.mp4

    Any help is appreciated!

    For those who follow the PMDG 777/747 +QW 787 group on Facebook, a PFPX 747-8i profile was just uploaded by a member, and he said the Freighter will soon follow..  I installed it into PFPX, and it loaded the profile just fine.  Haven't tested it yet.....I still lack a test aircraft at the moment.

    I downloaded that particular profile, and ran two identical flight plans (TJSJ-ENGM, as a test flight. roughly 08:20 flight time). One through Simbrief, which gave me a block fuel of 109 045kg, and the profile from the group gave me a block fuel of 121 534kg.

    I believe the profile might work in the end, but the fuel difference is quite large. I'll run a few tests and try to find the closest values once the aircraft is out and ready to rumble.

    Simbrief does a very good job there. I am a PFPX user my self but had no issues at all using simbrief for calculating my -8 flights.

    Does the Simbrief profile also work on the cargo variant of the aircraft? I fly the heavies exclusively as cargo, so passenger models are irrelevant to me.

  11. Just now, Olympic260 said:

    For that you need to ask Boeing, as these are their data 🙂

    Well, that's sad to hear. My question then falls to Simbrief - how they got a hold of the data required to build their profile. But for that I'll contact Simbrief. Thanks for taking your time to answer.

    There are no public data available needed for the PFPX profile to be created accurately. The one simbrief has is pretty accurate and this is what was used for flight planning purposes.

    Alright. Will said data be available after release so someone can create a profile?

  13. Hello,

    Since I use PFPX exclusively for flight planning (not takeoff and landing calculations, mind, really looking forward to the EFB for that), is there anyone that - during the beta, or in preparation for release - has made a profile for the aircraft and its variants?

    Excited to hear about the imminent release of the -8, it has been a long wait.

    Have you tried cycling the fuel selector?  Every Carabeo airplane I have requires the fuel selector be cycled before it will cold start.

    HTH and good luck,

    The other possibility for failures to start with Carenado/Alabeo aircraft is your default flight.  It is best to save the default flight as the stock Cessna 172SP, everything turned off except for the fuel selector and shut-off lever, which should be set to "both tanks" and the shut-off should be in to allow fuel to flow to the engine.  If this flight is saved with the selector at a position other than "both" or the shut-off is pulled out, add-on aircraft may not start due to their reliance on the stock MicroSoft fuel system and the state of the aircraft in the default flight.

    I'm on Prepared V4.2, and I have not had this issue with other Carenado aircraft. I'm going to give the fuel selector a try next time I fire up the simulator, see if cycling it fixes the issue.

  15. Hey, got to say I really like the way the systems behave with this mod. However, I'm struggling something fierce to get the engines started. I'm following the standard procedures (throttle a little forward, mixture primed 6 seconds then cutoff, props full forward, magnetos on, starter on, advance mixture), but it just spins and stops again. Fuel in the tanks, fuel selector on inboard tank, and the fuel valves are open. What on earth am I missing to start the aircraft? I always end up using the ready for taxi preset in the end... Need help from some professionals on this :)

    None of the links work! They just take you to more never ending links. Why not upload them it to the PFPX support forum????

    The last sendfile link worked, so I have temporarily uploaded this to Dropbox for people to download. I am not the author, so I do not want to upload it to the PFPX forum without @DayWalker's approval.

    Until I hear from DayWalker, download it from the above link.

  17. I am having the weirdest of problems with vPilot (and also EuroScope when observing). The sound/comms randomly stops working until press the transmit button. It is as if vPilot loses connection with the network but is then resolved immediately when I press send.

    This happens in vPilot and also in EuroScope, but no other software.

    I have wondered if this is related to my sound setup (using VoiceMeeter with virtual sound devices), but then I believe I should have noticed this with other software as well - especially communications software.

    This is driving me insane, and it has caused trouble for me on numerous occasions (not following ATC commands, because, surprise, I can't hear them). This is especially noticeable in airspace that has low traffic, since the delay between comms may be longer, and it's impossible for me to tell if there has been a transmission or if it is just quiet...

    Any help is appreciated. vPilot is run as administrator, and so is P3D.

  18. I was on a flight from ENBR to ENAL in the PC12, and was performing a pretty steep descent (2800fpm) at low torque. I'm using the F1 GTN 750 as my nav unit, and I had the autopilot set to NAV, and it was following the path quite perfectly, until all of a sudden it decided to bank sharply to the left, the FD showing a bank angle way past 30 degrees, and the autopilot happily obliged. Before I could react to this, the FD moved to show an equal bank over to the other side, causing the AP to turn happily that way.

    After this, I couldn't get the autopilot to follow along in any way, even in heading mode the FD would oscillate left and right wildly. I switched off the autopilot and proceeded to land safely on manual controls.

    I'm curious as to what could be causing this - this makes the aircraft very unpredictable to fly on autopilot.

  19. Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction on this. It's been driving me mad that LNM hasn't had any STAR/SIDs, especially since I've seen screenshots and other people using the feature. Then I reordered my SceneryLibrary to make sure I have the FSAD approaches on top of the library, and everything is great now :)
