    There is a setting in the configuration manager, when you modify the settings for each livery you can choose the setting.

    For some reason that option doesn't appear when you are in the Prepar3D menu.

    Probably best to check the support forum for a more prompt response!

    By any chance, do you know how it's done on any captain sim aircraft in P3D as well?

    Thanks man! This helped a lot.

    For anyone still strugling on how to find the setting, open your "Get Liveries" App by typing it in the lens feature of windows, then click on "My Fleet Tool" and select the livery you want your sound to remain when on lost focus. There you click "Edit" and hit "Next" and then you untick "Mute on Lost Focused".

    This feature is very well hidden, appreciate it!

    If you want P3D sound to remain on while using another app, make sure Mute On Lost Focus is Unchecked in P3D sound settings.

    Don't worry, this is not the sollution... It's something to do with iFly not P3D sadly.

  4. Hello everyone!

    Does anyone know if it's possible to turn the sound on in the iFly 737 MAX8 when using another application on the computer. I just hate feeling of the sound suddenly cutting when not being focused on P3D anymore and e.g. surfing the web.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers!

    The very best photoreal sceneries for almost the whole of Europe (including greece) and Africa are available here as freeware:

    https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/photosceneries-and-autogen-packages-for-the-world.447703/page-12

    These packages are way better than any payware scenery available for P3D. And they include high quality autogen.

    Do you know on which page Greece can be found? And where do I download it because as far as I'm concerned there is no Download button nor link for these photosceneries.

  6. Hello everyone!

    I finally fixed the problem by just binding F2 for my reverse key and even on full reverse it doesn't invert the driving direction. I knew that the reverse was able to push this plane back quiet easily and this is the case now without it being absolutely horrendous.

    Thanks soich for your help!

    Hi!

    I've got MD-82 v2.1 b833 in P3Dv4.5.14 with Thrustmaster Airbus throttle and it's working fine. If you've got a throttle, have you calibrated it? Procedure can be found in Maddog X Files - Docs - Fly the Maddog X Quick Guide page 22. As an example, here's my settings in the maddogx.ini file if its of any help:

    ThrottleAxisFilter=1
    ; reverse scale factor x 10
    ReverseAxisScale1=17
    ReverseAxisScale2=17

    and furher down:

    IdleForwardThrustAxis1=8370
    IdleForwardThrustAxis2=8370
    IdleReverseThrustAxis1=6821
    IdleReverseThrustAxis2=6821

    Hello, where do I set these settings? within p3d or any app from the md80?

  8. Hello!

    I have a problem with the Maddog X by Leonardo. For some reason the reverse is that strong, it is even able to accelerate me backwards faster than forwards (looks really werd when in action). So whenever I land I brake from 130 knots to 0 in no time. I do not have this issue on any other aircraft I use. Any suggestions?

    On page 4 of the installation guide there is a table with a bunch of links to required software packages.  The second link in the table is to the ZIP file that supports many of the customizations I've made to improve the DC-10 in P3Dv5.  Within that ZIP file is a subdirectory... ISG -> Aircraft.  Inside it are three starter ISG files for the DC1010, DC1030, and DC1040.  If you don't have them, make sure you've downloaded the latest package (which isn't that new these days...).

    From there follow the document's instructions and paste them into the /Aircraft subdirectory of your ISG installation.  I have on my to-do list an update to the section for installing the ISG gauges, as they may install into a default FSX path which then requires you to copy some stuff around the ol' fashioned way.

    Thank you very much, I will definitely do that!

    There are some packages for different DC10.

    Check it out

    Hello! First of all: Thanks a lot for the preset. I assume you would just put it into the Panel folder of every variant within Simobjects/Aircraft/Variant/Panel. The problem is, that when I open P3D after doing so the gauges don't seem to work. I did do a backup of the Panel.cfg file so no worries but I would like it to work properly. Do you have any suggestions?

    Niels

    Edit: I got the ND working in the aircraft but I couldn't add the two FMCs. Can someone help me?

  11. Hello everyone,

    I have been trying to get ISG gauges working for the DC-10 within Prepar3D for some time now. I followed the instructions (https://www.dropbox.com/s/huvhow2w1q4ypv4/JF_DC10_Install_Guide.pdf?dl=1) which outlines that after installation there should be a "DC1010.cfg, DC1030.cfg" file. Although I manage to install it into my root P3D folder I cannot seem to find any corresponding file. I have done the update from 187 to 189 Beta but there is still nothing there...

    Can someone help me to make gauges in the DC-10 (ND,PFD, FMC, EHSI)? Thanks in advance!

  13. Hello everyone!
    Taxi2Gate MMMX is a scenery originally released for FSX but with these few tricks you will be able to use this scenery in P3Dv4/v5.

    Installation:

    1. Run the exe and locate your simulator folder.
    2. Install the scenery anywhere within your Prepar3D/Prepar3D v5 folder (make sure to remember where you installed it!)
    3. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X and copy both the Effects and Texture folder
    4. Go to your Prepar3Dv4/Prepar3Dv5 root folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4)
    5. Paste the two folders (Effects and Texture) into the root Prepar3D directory - you should not be asked to overwrite any files!
    6. Launch Prepar3Dv4/Prepar3Dv5
    7. Go to the Scenery library
    8. In there you have to manually add all three layers of the scenery within the MMMX-T2G folder (MMMX; MMMX-city; MMMX-terrain) - the layers should be in this exact order!
    9. Restart Prepar3Dv4/Prepar3Dv5
    10. Settle down in MMMX and make sure you don't have any black buildings and everything looks fine!
    11. Download the MMMX_AF.BGL file either for Prepar3Dv4 or Prepar3Dv5 from this Google Drive link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-jn1fNZmyyW3vgJKmGD9pJcPECkYceJK?usp=sharing
    12. Once you have downloaded the file go to ...MMMX-T2G\MMMX\Scenery and paste the BGL file in there. Overwrite!
    13. That's it! Runway lights/Taxi lights/default buildings should be working/gone now! Have fun! :)

    Optional (RECOMMENDED!):

    We will be adding better Dynamic Lighting as well as GSXv1/v2 compatibility

    1. All rights go to inibuilds!
    2. Dynamic lighting for MMMX: https://forum.inibuilds.com/files/file/761-taxi2gate-mexico-city/
    3. GSX-profile for MMMX: https://forum.inibuilds.com/files/file/929-taxi2gate-mexico-city/
    4. follow given instructions carefull!

    Alright folks! I hope this helped and you managed to fix Taxi2Gate MMMX!

    Cheers,

    Niels

    Global Automatic is one of the theme sets available in ASCA. Instead of using any of the designated theme sets. Global Automatic will select and use the appropriate theme as called for by WX conditions interpreted by ASP3D. It's a pretty cool arrangement...btw, I agree EA is not yet ready for prime time. As I was reading this and related threads, I was in the process of deactivating EA...and reinstalling ASCA. It may not look as good as EA, but performance and VRAM are much more user friendly.

    Sherm

    Okay thanks!

    My problem with EA is not performance nor VRAM usage but the looks of it at night and in some circumstances just being all over the place... I have installed envshade ENVTEX and asca now and it looks absolutely insane, especially the shaders!

    I have recently installed envtex and envshade

    and I am loving it, with EA off asp3d and asca. Global Automatic set.

     tuned 4k monitor and set HDR settings 1.30 bloom 0 saturation at 80

    envshade set all  to default.
    Auto exposure off in P3d.

    I am very pleased.

    apart from envtex sun, looks horrible . So a gentleman by the Gerard was kind enough to share his sun mod.

    which looks great.

    Looking forward to using EA but it’s not there yet.

    cheers

    mike

    Alright, thank you so much! I will get Active Sky Cloud Art then!

    Whatg do you mean by "Global Automatic set"?

  16. Exactly!

    My problem with EA are the shaders (at night tehy look garbage on the fuselage and the shaders arent really enjoyable, the clouds are great tho!)

    That's why I'm searching for an alternative and I want to have a pic with all the stuff I want to use...
