Hardware and Software query for experienced users of FS

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I had bought a new Laptop from Lenovo, model Y50-70 and it has the following specs:

i7-4710HQ (2.5ghz-3.5ghz)

16GB DD3 RAM

1 TB HDD

Nvidia N16P-GX DDR5 4GB Graphics Card

Will these specs be sufficient to allow me run FS9, FSX / FSX SE, P3D V1/V2/V3 comfortably with addons??

Any help will be appreciated.

Yes.

However its all in how much eye candy you dial in. I can run FSX butter smooth with my 6 yr old laptop though I am using the 1/2 refresh tweak on the onboard nvidia chip set. and the settings are mostly all LOW. Does it look as good as it does on my desktop? Of'course not. But if you keep the autogen and cars to a minimun you might be suprised with the laptop.

Enjoy!

EDIT: If you can swap the HDD for an SSD you will be much happier and have longer battery life.
