Saved Scenarios in P3D V3 - where and why doesn't delete work

When I go into the load scenario menu for p3D V3 , when I select a scenario, it gives me the option to delete the file.  First of all it says the files are in C:\Users\name\appdata

local\lockheedmartin\prepar3Dv3  but there are no saved files in that directory.  Then if you select the trash can symbol after highlighting a saved scenario, it gives you the option of deleting it. As you delete the files, the number of remaining files drops by 1 for each delete. After deleting a large number of files, I quit P3D. Upon booting the program up again, and looking in the Load scenario menu, all the files that I just deleted are back there again. Is the menu structure just screwed up totally for this function?
