Aircraft podding, etc...

Pete or Grant, could you guys direct me towards a program that can extract pod files for FLY! 2? I would greatly appreciate it! :)

Cameron,I use a little program written by Chris Wallace called PodExplorer, Version 1.0(.02). It was a beta version and I don't know if it's available from the AVSIM server but you might look for it. If you do find it, I'll help with any questions you might have. I know that Fly!s editor can be used to unpod aircraft files but since I don't use that method, I can't really help there. Maybe Grant can give you some help with it.Good luck,Pete

Pete,Thanks for the reply! I have searched around for the program, but have no luck in finding it. Would it be possible for you to pass it on to me?Please send it to: [email protected] if possible.Best Regards,

Look for Epd Explorer or epdexplorer in the file library. Also search for the Author Chris Wallace. POD is the Fly!II format and EPD is the Fly!I format, which is what the program was designed for. As far as I know there's no difference between EPD and Pod files.

Cameron, I use PodExplorer by Chris Wallace like Pete. It is very easy to use. There is a new program I have not tried yet that I have heard good things about, called PodCreator. Forget the author's name (for which I apologize), but it is in the AVSIM library. Leen de Jager posed this question recently and found PodExplorer but not sure where. I gave him Chris Wallace's email address and I think he wrote him for it. I do not have access to Chris' email address right now otherwise I would send it to you.Grant
