Will you or wont you is the Question

I think the question everyone in the FlyII comunity is asking ISare the member's of the PMDG team thinking in the same way as Peter Sidoli and his team.Do you have the same outlook regarding the the amount of downloads for FLYII compared with FS2002 products, in view of the time and effort spent creating Aircraft and Scenery for FLY compared with FS2002.Since this must also be a commercial consideration for PMDG is there a remote chance that we may also see PMDG go over to FS2002 products only.I sincerly hope not. Hi Wayne, Fly!II has offered us unparalleled support from its developer, not only with a very usable SDK, but a never ending flow of personal support. Combine that with an extremely enthusiastic user base, and the unique qualities of the program itself, building addons for this sim has been a pleasure. At the same time, and as another Fly!II user pointed out in one of the many threads floating around the forum, that same enthusiastic user base is shrinking quickly, especially since last Fall, with the introduction of MS Flight Simulator 2002. While we are examing our options in terms of creating addons for FS2k2, we will still continue to support our products and we will be following the trends, present and future, in regards to the Fly franchise. You are correct in your observation that this is a commercial consideration for us. As with any product, the goal is ultimately revenue. If the revenue stops, it is difficult to justify the thousands of hours required to put out a quality product, (quality being the key word that we don't want to compromise). We will continue to keep you all posted on our future releases and plans.VinPMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.vinscimone.com/dancnkid.gif

Vin thank's for the response and although it would be a sad day for us all, I along with everyone can understand your and other developer's position.I almost gave up on FLYII myself last week but it was sugested that I turn off T&L and this could solve a lot of the ERROR'S that I kept getting, and sure enough it seem's to have done just that.Been a Fly fan since it first came out infact apart from PS13 I don't us any other flight sim's and I've been around long enough to have tryed a fair few of them (remember when they came on 5inch floppy's)Personaly I hope things dont get to the point were PMDG feel they have to give up on Fly we all need the suport and great products we get from yourselves Wayne Roberts [email protected]
