June 1, 200323 yr Hi all,Here you will find great B737NG's manuals, all free and very well explained.www.smartcockpit.comEnjoy,Carlos.
June 2, 200323 yr Sometimes there are also interesting discussions about the NG at pprune.org.A bit controversial thread how descends should be handled (to speedbrake or not to speedbrake) :http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.ph...&threadid=75770And something about the NG Autopilot. The LOC intercept seems to be somewhat in favour of the MS default AP :-hahhttp://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=65484Michael
June 2, 200323 yr Commercial Member Michael-I will happily say that there's no remnant of that "MS Default A/P" in our bird...Cheers, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
June 2, 200323 yr Lefteris, hmmm, that sounds very much like your 737 will know what turn anticipation is and e.g. really follow the nicely curved flight path in your ND.How come if anyone mentions some flight relevant details, someone from PMDG comes up and says it's in there already ;)What can I say other than sounds great again.Michael
June 2, 200323 yr Commercial Member Since this is my baby I intend to write a short description of what it can do shortly. All I can say right now is that it comprises more than 10 full industrial scale controllers with more than 200 parameters and custom gain functions in use.Best Regards,VangelisPS. Here is an example for double bypass on fairly tight DME Arc procedure (sorry about quality of jpeg had to compress to 25% to upload).========================================= E. M. June 2, 200323 yr Vangelis, ouch, your remark and picture leaves me almost speechless. The short description you mentioned would be of course more than interesting :)There's CALM written in the upper left of the ND, certainly a good advice for those that can't wait like me :-hahMichael
June 3, 200323 yr Vangelis,>> more than 10 full industrial scale controllers with more than 200 parameters and custom gain functions in use.You probably guessed someone might ask back regarding that. I remember having read an article a while ago about an F/A-18 Hornet formation flight autopilot and that article also used a similar terminology with time-scale controllers, gain sets/functions, etc. Can't really get it completely together anymore, so is there any way to quickly explain what that means in practice for the 737 NG autopilot ?Michael
