Hi,I have been thinking in buing the 737-NG for a long time. And I have monitored each step of the progress in this forum. However, I now got a "cold shower" regarding the purchase/activation procedure. Please don

This is exactly the same question I wanted to ask. Marc wrote above that the registration keys are dependent on sytem configuration. Could you provide a few more details?I

From what I understand the Registration key is dependent on "something" generated specifically for your machine, not sure what, must be some bios stuff if i was to make a guess. However, there is a ten day "use" period to sort out registration details, as well as a process to handle migration from machine to machine. So bottom line ... download, purchase, install, and you have 10 days to get through the registration ... a step better than the CS process. Both of you guys have been around "HERE" long enough to understand the issues related to piracy in this business ... and I would think that you both would be sympathetic to the issues involved. The aircraft is indeed SUBURB ... out of the "box" ... looks great, much details .. can't wait to get finished with work to fly it.My honest suggestion is NOT to hesitate ... buy this neat software.

Hi Paul,Yes I have been here long enough. Infact long enough to be aware that it is us (the honest guys) who will be the ones set aside here.It will always be us who will have problems with this kind of procedures,...not the hackers!!And I think that you have been around long enough to know that the hackers will sooner or later decode this software aswell, just as they did with CS 727. ;-)Then,...what good was it with this kind of activation?Take care,http://www.scandicair.com/images/SA_Banner4b.jpg

We all know that there is no perfect security protection! People can get into your house if they try hard enough, and others can crack the code protection you add to your software product. You close/lock your door at home so nobody can enter. Now - Please put yourself in our situation -We add the registration protection so nobody can steal the software we have worked so hard on for the past 10 months. Is it perfect? No!You have to understand that we needed to implement at least some measure of security protection to reduce the wide spread theft of software. I'm sure you would consider doing the same if you released one of your FFG add-ons as payware. As you state that the CS727 protection did not help, we would surely appreciate if you notify us if the same happens to the 737TNG product.Cheers!

Marc,After I read your post I went for a search...I found the first pmDG737NG software request on overnet (www.overnet.com) :(

Dear PMDG,I want to be independant from the net regarding my software. I want to be able to reinstall my software, and install it on another computer at home. I want to install it on my laptop so I can bring it with me out at sea, where I work. You and Microsoft are taking all this freedom from me with your registration procedures, and I don`t like it one inch, no matter what you say. You are binding us, and taking money for it.Plane is nice, no problem. But I can`t use it freely, even if i PAID for it. I think this is going way too far, and will not buy the next product, because I`m tired of being bullied around.Sorry, but this will always be my opinion....

But as I said, sooner or later it will be cracked. And I promise that I will inform you when that happens.Decoded copies of CS
