TOGA button?

Featured Replies

Hi!I have just taken my new and shiny 737-NG out for a spin! :D But I sat there on the runway for 15minutes looking for the TOGA button to take off.. Finally I desided to control the throttles manually.. So here I am, asking: Where is that TOGA button? I tried to go through the prosedure that I learned from the Official Boeing 737-NG Computer Based Training program, but was halted by that missing TOGA button.....

Actually, we simulated the TO/GA button by clicking on the top left screw of the MCP. You will notice the cursor changes into a hand for button pushing.Ryan - the N1 button should not be used as TO/GA button.Try it out!All this and more will be in the manuals once they are released.Sincerely,

Isn't there supposed to be an TOGA button on the throttle quadrant? I am almost positive on that, but I'll check my 737-NG CBT to comfirm that..

Yes, in the real NG the TO/GA push buttons are on the throttle levers. That's why I mentioned that we *simulated* the TO/GA button by hitting the top left screw of the MCP. It is not possible to have a separate push function on a moving lever in FS. As such, we chose to simulate it by pressing the area around the screw.

Also, when you have to go-around, you don't really want to open the throttle view, find the button, press it... close the view...You'd be already on concrete...anthonyAnthony MertonPrecision Manuals Developmenthttp://www.precisionmanuals.com

Ah... Ok.. Thanks.. :D I was looking for it on the Throttle quadrant.. Expected it to be in a "DF737" style, but it was genius to simulate it on that top left MCP screw.. :D I'll test it right away! BTW, I was writing my last reply, at the same time as you were posting yours, so I didn't see the reply until now.. :)
