July 3, 200322 yr Before engines have been startedAnd the Electric Pump switches for systems A and B are in the ON position and the LOW PRESSURE lights extinguish, Shouldnt the Hyrdraulic pressure incrsease to normal.Also when the Electric Pump switches are in the OFF position, shouldnt REF appear next to the Hydraulic Quantity indication.Alex

July 4, 200322 yr The hydraulic does change during operation, that is why on all aircraft you ahve to check the lvl with flap/slats fully retracted, gears extended (says it self when on ground hehe) and no one operating flight controls.On airbus with hydraulic cargo doors they advice you to close the doors to.This is my experience working on this aircraft as a licenced technician on itDennis
