July 7, 200322 yr In real life there are 4 screens, in PMDG's cockpit, there are only 3... Maersk, Southwest and Hamburg Int. is only using three screens, and the fourth is black.. BUT.. PMDG have "Maersk configurasjon" on the engine display screen, and normal configurasjon on the other two... Those two configs can't be mixed! So this panel is not realistic................. I'll include two pictures from airliners.net so you'll see what I mean... I love this aircraft, but I was a little disappointed when I saw this.. He who wrote this have expirience with the 737-NG...I might ask, is this going to be fixed? http://www.airliners.net/open.file/352927/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/266193/L/
July 7, 200322 yr Umm. In all the screenshots Ive seen. There are 5 screens. Same as in those pics you have showed us.Ryan
July 7, 200322 yr Umm... Actually, there are 6 screens, notice the one over the throttles? But I'm not counting the co pilot screens, cause they are showing the same as the two nav screens on the captains side.. And the co pilot screens were never supposed to be in this panel as nearly all the a/c's in FS are flown from the captains seat.. So, 6 screens - the 2 co pilot screens = 4 screens.. And the "Maersk configurasjon" they are only using 5 screens, and the 6th, the one in front of the throttle levers are disable and is black.. Again, 5 screens in use - the 2 co pilot screens = 3screens...

July 8, 200322 yr I would like an answer from PMDG comfirming that this info is correct, which is described above here. Or if its incorrect and in fact that your cockpit configurasion is correct and realistic afterall... I was a bit disappointed, and felt like this cockpit was only half finished.. So basically: Are your cockpit configurasion realistic? If not, are you going to fix it? Maybe in the upcoming 800/900 pack? And if you are going to fix it, will it be full "Maersk configurasion" with 3 screens, or the standard Boeing configurasion with 4 screens and adding the lower MFD screen?
July 8, 200322 yr I seem to recall a few months ago, PMDG announced that both options would be made available with the release of the 800/900 series. Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
July 8, 200322 yr As far as I know, the statements from PMDG earlier confirmed that the lower DU will only be added in the second phase of the product. Also I suspect that phase 2 will include the ability to change the EFIS display modes on the outboard and inboard DU-s. Currently the DU display knobs are inoperative on the main panel, which I assume will become functional at the time of implementation of further features.Regards,Zoltan HegedusBudapest, Hungary
July 8, 200322 yr I think I misunderstood your question. Im no expert...Are you talking about how they split the screens up in some configs? If so. Sorry. I thought you were saying that there was supposed to be more complete screens. If that makes any sense.Ryan
July 8, 200322 yr I show you some image from my home cockpit....this is a 737-700 NGhttp://www.x-plane.mi.it/homecockpit/homecockpit.htmbyedaniele Gigola
July 8, 200322 yr The setup with 3 CDUs is realistic. Lower CDU contain only minor info. You may switch this info up to Center CDU - now running in Compact mode. = Lower CDU is dark.eker
July 8, 200322 yr Yes, but as I was told that when you switch to the compact mode, all displays show a different configurasjon.. As in the pictures in my first post.. Look at them, and you'll see what I mean..
July 8, 200322 yr Not able.... 737NG not working on my brand new Dell 8250 2.8G - immidiate shut down to desktop.Dealing with PMDG for a refund...eker
