July 9, 200322 yr Hi all,I noticed that when I arm the Autobrakes for landing when I touch down they engage ok, but I cannot disengage them by pressing either the brakes key on the keyboard or on the yoke.To disengage them I have to click on the button itself with the mouse. Is this normal? Thanks.Regards,Bjorn
July 9, 200322 yr They custom made the autobrake system., so I don't think PMDG assaigned a keypress to the autobrake.

July 9, 200322 yr Hi When the autobrakes are armed the brakes are applied through anti-skid control valves on landing which in turn are controlled by the anti-skid control modules,if i can remember its only possible to override auto brakes by manually deselecting or below a certain ground speed i can't remember the exact speed.Normally i will let the autobrakes bring the A/c to a rolling stop.Obviously everything depends on the functioning of the air/ground prox switches.I don't know how much this system is modelled by PMDG.I will have to get my B737 mechanical trainig books out the loft, being now working on Airbuses. July 10, 200322 yr Thanks guys,I just found out that by giving a slight forward throttle input they disconnect.Regards,Bjorn
July 10, 200322 yr In the PMDG AOM on page 88 it specifically states that the Autobrake disarm light should come on after manual braking. And that is how it works in the real thing, so I think this issue should be adressed in the upcoming patch. Also, even by using the above-mentioned work-around the fact that the switch jumps back to off is incorrect. On disconnecting the autobrake in the real thing, the switch stays just where it is. Only the disarm light will tell you it is off.BTW, another work-around I discovered is oddly enough to use the mouse when it shows the + sign. Rather than increase the setting it will also switch back to off. Needless to say this is not how it works in the real thing :-) In fact, I think you could actually increase the setting during autobraking. Finally in the Classic the disarm light illuminates for two seconds when selecting RTO to indicate self test initiation. Can anyone confirm that this is different in the NG?Leo Bakker
