Another Little Problem

Featured Replies

Hi PMDG,I've noticed a little problem when flying more than one leg at a time. For the first leg of a flight, this issue is not present. On subsequent legs however, the T/D marker doesn't show up on the ND. There is still the distance and time to T/D in the FMC PROG page, but it just isn't on my ND. Not sure if this has already been reported or even if it's just me, but if not someone may want to take a look at this for the patch if there's still time. :)-Shaun

Hi Shaun,Could you be a little more specific? I have flown many flight where my T/D was on the second or third leg and visibile. A specific route would be helpful as well as detail on your FMC setup. With a little more information we can try to get to the bottom of this one.George

I don't really remember the flight plans offhand as it's happened on every multi-leg flight that I've taken. I don't think it's a setup fault of mine though because the T/D is still calculated accurately on the FMC PROG page. On a related note, I've noticed that the speed restriction below 10k mysteriously vanishes from the FMC CLB page after the first leg of a multi-leg flight also. I've always just put this back in manually so it's no big deal, but I'm wondering if it's realistic or a bug. At any rate, I'll give a flight plan on the next multi-leg flight I fly so you can look into the T/D thing.-Shaun

Hi guys,I had some other issues as well with multiple flights. It is my impression that some system modes are somehow "left behind" in the sim and mess up when you go ahead and do another flight. For the FMC itself for instance, it should be more or less "empty" after touchdown. From the Boeing manual: it clears the active flight plan and load data. Some preflight data fields initialize to default values.I think the fact that quite a lot of this information is not cleared in the sim might cause some of these problems in subsequent flights.Leo Bakker
