July 18, 200322 yr Can anyone confirm that the modelling of the FPV on the PFD is correct? As I understood it, the FPV symbol should show the inertial path of the aircraft, so that, say, when the aircraft is in straight and level flight (e.g. in cruise), the FPV symbol should sit on the horizon, not on the airplane symbol? If an aircraft is climbing, the FPV should be displayed below the airplane symbol (I can't see how the pitch angle of the aircraft can be less than the actual climb angle...unless the wing is at a very high angle of attack as compared with the longitudinal axis of the aircraft). http://www.geocities.com/pegasusair_tr/aoa.htmWhen following the glidepath, shouldn't the FPV symbol be about 3 degrees below the horizon?Thanks,Cheers.Ian.
