July 20, 200322 yr Me again :-) Coming in to land at Gatwick, I had set the minimums reference selector to BARO and 390 feet which is 200 feet AGL. So I expected the minimums call out to come at 390 feet on the altimeter, instead it came at 390 feet on the radio altimeter. Also, it seems as if the amber/green indicator on the altitude tape is not moving in sync with the altitude tape itself (as is the yellow marker for the ground). Passing through 600 feet the amber line was still above the 400 feet marker and now I'm on the ground the green line has fallen to around 350 feet. And the line was amber when I was above the minimum height and green when I was below. That doesn't seem right. And finally with the reference set to RADIO shouldn't there be some kind of flashing ALT alert? I do notice the radio altimeter going yellow, but I believe the word RADIO in the PFD itself should begin to flash yellow too or something along those lines. In the PMDG manual it says you can blank the ALT alert with the minimums reset switch, so there should be some kind of alert, right?Leo BakkerPS. Since I know you guys must hate me by now I think I'd better add the following :-) I first noticed this while autolanding with a 60 degrees crosswind at 35 knots and turbulence set to light (well, we all know what that means in MSFS) and the landing was spot on! Okay, maybe so now the guarantee on the undercarriage is no longer valid, but it was really impressive to watch!
July 21, 200322 yr Commercial Member Leo-everything except for the flashing ALT alert is done for the patch already. Not sure if I'll get to the flashing ALT alert on time, as other more pressing issues are still there. We'll get to that too soon, I am sure tho. Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
July 21, 200322 yr Hi Lefteris,I can well imagine that you can't get every single item fixed with this patch, that's okay with me. I really appreciate all your efforts. Keep up the good work! Thanks again,Leo Bakker
