Roxio Goback Compatibility

Featured Replies

Hi,I'm thinking about getting this aircraft after the patch is released, but I can see a lot of people complaining about problems with the registration, and what really worries me, that you need to get a new code if you change your hard disk, or reformat, or whatever.Well, I'm using Roxio Goback 3, and this program is behind the OS on watch, keeping a record of the changes in the HD structure, and if anything goes wrong, to be able to revert it to the last stable state, more or less like Win System Restore but better and more powerfull, and my question is: After a HD reversion is the 737NG going to work or not? If the reg sys is based on HD partition info (apart from other dada) then should not be a problem, but I want to be sure, because sometimes I have to revert my Hd due to new/beta/etc drivers/programs/... problems.ThanksBest regardsHarry

Hi Harry,I used XP System Restore a couple of times, and had no problems with the PMDG 737.However, in the past I have had lots of problems with third-party utilities that claim to perform Windows functions much better, so you may want to be careful when using such software. A lot of my attempts at using such software have resulted in the ultimate system restore - HD reformat :).Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg

Thanks for the answer Gosta, I know is dangerous to tinker with the HD, but to be honest, IT guys where I work told me that was a very good program, to date (crossing fingers ;-) ) it has never failed me, saving a lot of reinstalling hours, but I know that it fails once I'll have a big mess to repair :-newburn .I hope it doesn't destroy PMDG737 register.ByeHarry
