The 737NG

Featured Replies

HiI was thinking of buying the NG and was wondering what the folks here think of it as 40 Dollars is a bit on the high side but it does look interesting. How is the flight model and avionics as this is most important to me as opposed to visuals. Thanks in advance for any replies.Kurt

Kurt,Now, please understand I am a beta tester for this plane, so I am a bit biased....;-)Flight Model: Outstanding. I don't think anyone will argue with this one, this plane is solid as a rock, spot on with the numbers. Amazing job by the PMDG staff.Avionics: With the patch, they are solid, smooth, and really pleasant to look at. Most of the systems are simulated, or will be simulated either in the 800/900 or the BBJ/Mil series, and all updates will be reverse compatable, meaning your -600 has the same new toys that the newer variants have, ie TCAS.The FMC is missing a few things, such as OPT flight level prediction, and (pre patch) DES NOW function. The patch introduces the DES NOW ability, but there are still some things left to be simulated. Now, granted, most of the things lacking will come later....I won't comment on the visuals, you have seen the pics ;-)If you have any specific questions, like 'is this or that simuated', ask, and the friendly forum folks will give you an answer.

Read my post. PMDG 737NG is the highest fidelity (translated=most realistic) addon on ever created. You will not be disappointed!!!BillyBob

Hi Thanks for the replies.Does the FMC support route offsets?Kurt

Ah it will. Everyone should know that the project does not stop with the patch release, this is an on going project and I for one am commited to seeing as much as possible added to this incredible aircraft...[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J.
