August 2, 200322 yr Hello fellow simmers, :)It sounds like Roberts last post is a hesitant release of the patch with caviouts. Well in case you guys don't know it professional pilots don't take any chances, this is the effects of a perfectionist. I took 1 full-time year of professionall flight training in PanAm, Phoenix Az. Professional pilots KNOW exactly what is going to happen before each swith or control input is touch, that is a given fact. You should all feel the product WILL be shortly if not in this Service Pack release as perfect as possible. After reading Roberts last post, it reminded me of the Perfectionism that our US airline have. Yes, Robert is a full-time airline jet captain in addition to running in his PMDG company and answering all our thousands of emails to him which complain what the sim does in situation X. PMDG 737NG is the HIGHEST FIDELITY add on ever created for MSFS and even FLY! The PMDG manuals for FLY! aircraft add-ons were in excess of 300+ pages each aircraft, with authentic performance charts and in depth systems. He has decrease the manual for size for the average MSFS user. I think we should all thank Robert on this post for his additons to the flight simulation work. In order to get the realism in a sim similar to that of the PMDG 737NG you will have to pay $600+/hr for for level 4 737NG simulator + airfair. For a $39.95 product who can complain, well you know who i'm talking too out there. Anyway, please all make a post here and show some support for what hopefully will be an very very long lasting FS add-on company. Besides if FS2006 never comes out who are we going to look at for excitement. PMDG will be the catalyst. This picture is in FS2002pro!I'm eagerly awaiting the patch release from Robert tonight. Right now I have 737NG functional in FS2002pro. How do I install in FS9?Do I need to transfer from FS2002pro? Do I need to do a complete reinstall from patch with registration code emailing? or Will the new patch take care of all this?Thank You for you help.Your Fellow Simmer,BillyBob
August 2, 200322 yr After working with Robert I have a profound respect for the man although he is modest about such creature worship ;). August 2, 200322 yr I don't think anyone knows the proper procedure to install the plane into FS9, but I think it will be something like:Run the base installer, but point the thing to the FS9 directory and chose the FS2004 load edit(if you want). Then, you will run the patch once for the FS2k2 install(assuming that you already have it installed into FS2k2 prior to downloading the patch), and then run the patch again, pointing it at the FS9 directory.Something like that anyway ;-) Keep in mind I could be wrong...
August 2, 200322 yr No doubt, part of the time that has gone by since Robert's last post was devoted to preparing a clear set of instructions for the installation.Andrew
August 2, 200322 yr God bless PMDG, when it's all done with SP's, 800-900, BBJ release we will have a fantastic product. I can't wait for the next release, maybe the new boeing Dreamliner!!! hehe No Robert wouldn't do that because there is no data on it yet, because it hasn't been built yet. If you guys get a chance check out boeing.com dreamliner!! hehehI'm also looking forward to the new AirBus A380 or AXX, the new super Jumbo that will be in the air in the next few years. On a flight overseas to VHHH HongKong, KSFO to VHHH i was able to gett into the Captain seat at KSFO gate in a 747-400, after climbing the circle stairs!!! hehe United of course, pre- 9/11 of course. I don't think they will let that happen now.Obviously I have way too much time on my hands!!! Well I just got the C152 from flight one. She was the bird I got my SEL PPL when I was 16.. Leave the simple planes to Flight one.. heheh just kidding..Well, i'm still eagerly awaiting release.Good bless you fellow simmers,Billy Bobp.s. Bump >)
